Mystic Force Posted 15 December, 2020 Posted 15 December, 2020 I have a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid with active cruise control and lane keeping assist, for those long distance road trips on the Interstate it is not very mentally taxing so you can drive for hours without feeling it.
Manuel Posted 15 December, 2020 Posted 15 December, 2020 That Enfield sketch was good. Lexus CT200h. Basically a Prius with a different body. My trade-in 2004 is200 was far better in every way though (except fuel economy, hence the change). Wish I'd kept it now. Was nothing wring with it and I don't drive many miles. Best car I ever owned.

Same kind of thing here. I've got a 15 year old Honda CRV. Its spacious, comfortable, well equipped, totally reliable and still in great condition. I keep on thinking I should replace it just because its old. Occasionally I take new cars out on test drives or rent them for holidays but offer nothing more than I've got - so why change something that works and costs me next to nothing?
View From The Top Posted 16 December, 2020 Posted 16 December, 2020 I've recently just gotten rid of the family 7 seater which had served us well and racked up 140,000 miles and taken us across Europe countless times Treated myself to a Jaguar XF, clearly not new as I'm not insane and bonkers cheap with less than 50k on the clock. Fucking lovely it is too. I'd always wanted a Jag so I thought why not. I'm middle aged and lower middle class so the perfect demographic. I (we) also have a Fiat 500 Sport which is a great car for running around town. 1

Turkish Posted 20 December, 2020 Posted 20 December, 2020 In a typical boasting post I’ve got a fantastic 16 plate 1.4 Astra with 80000 miles on it, the perfect car for driving round businesses in my territory with my suit jacket hung up in the back, the ideal car for any modern travelling salesman, cup holders for the drive through costas, the boot perfect size for a selection of the most recent printer cartridges to demo on clients site.

You should go all out and get a 16 plate Mondeo Titanium X with (that had) 55k on the clock. Absolutely perfect for the motorways in the South West

It's fun to drive around town and you can hoof it about but not a lot of fun on a motorway and lacks grunt.
