Lighthouse Posted 23 November, 2020 Author Posted 23 November, 2020 Ooooh, the spin just took it away there.

Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Vestergard definitely got the ball there ffs. 1
OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 All ball from Vest! WTF is the ref thinking?
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 On replay think Macca should have caught that...sorry! 1
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Some incredible passing moves interspersed with sloppy lapses in judgement still. Come on saints, time for a goal... 1
Saint Fan CaM Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Can see Wolves coming into this and scoring first - need to put more pressure on their keeper to get something from this game.

Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Just now, Lighthouse said: But no 9-0 mention yet, unless I missed it in the run up to kick off. They did mention it's a year since we were bottom of the table. Maybe they can't remember beyond 12 months?
verlaine1979 Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Bednarek and McCarthy the only real weak links in our possession game. I never feel confident that we're going to keep the ball when play goes through either of them.
Sheaf Saint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Just now, Lighthouse said: But no 9-0 mention yet, unless I missed it in the run up to kick off. Nope. Mentioned that we were in the relegation zone this time last year and have done so well to get where we are from there, but surprisingly didn't mention the 0-9.
OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Maybe the media are forgetting. On DAZN, Owen said, "they've been brilliant ever since....ever since that beating they took".
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 You do wonder if we planned our attacking moves around their fullbacks being higher up the pitch due to the three at the back, and them switching to a back 4 has messed with us.
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Fuck off, he didn't receive treatment so he doesn't need to leave the pitch you cunt.
OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Again, just a toe end from putting us 1 on 1 with the keeper. Need to test him soon.
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Good to see a couple of wolves players picking up bookings late on in this half. Puts them on edge. 1
SNSUN Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 They’ve probably had the better attempts on goal but on the balance of things I think we’ve been the better team. We seem very good and comfortable in possession on the most part. We need more clear cut chances but overall we’ve almost played like the home team. Let’s hope the good work isn’t undone in the second half. Hopefully as they push forward for a goal, we can exploit the space with the pace we have.

Jimmy_D Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Feel like we'd probably be a goal or two up if Ings was playing. We're playing well enough to get three points here so hopefully it'll fall our way the second half. 1

obelisk Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Some good possession and approach work but the killer final ball just not happening. Looks like one goal either way will decide this. Another yellow for Traore would be useful.
Pickles Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 On a side note, isn't Traore the one who said that he doesn't lift weights, he's just naturally that big? Yeah right 1
striker Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Solid half, no complaints. Tough match, we can win though
qwertyell Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Think we've been quite dodgy on the ball - a lot of underhit passes and heavy touches. Bednarek set the tone with his ridiculous air shot at the start that almost led to a chance. But we're hanging in there, getting the odd half chance - it's not out of the question that we could get something here. Wolves are always more attacking in the second half, so we'll need to up our game for sure. Maybe Redmond for Djenepo soon. He hasn't got the speed or strength on Semedo today. 1

Archers Road Stand Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 I wouldn't be surprised to see Wolves put Traore upfront like they did in the second half at St. Marys last season. We couldn't cope with him.
OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Djenepo is really lively, he's looking for the give and go and making great runs but so far no-one has returned the ball to him. Adams there, who just ignored the run.
Mr X Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Wolves look decent they may cause an upset here hopefully we can keep them under control
OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 We need to trash one of our players a bit, usually that player then scores. I'll start. Fuck Walcott, hopeless, couldn't hit a cow's arse! 2
nta786 Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Awful pass from Romeu there It was something similar that happened at Palace away opening game this season which they punished I think it will finish 0-0 or 1-0
Saint_clark Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 Really poor defending down the right, JWP and KWP both gambled and left acres of space. Macca outstanding.

OttawaSaint Posted 23 November, 2020 Posted 23 November, 2020 They're just not quite seeing the runs. Great overlap by KWP, had Armstrong been more aware he could have flicked it out to him.

Those cross field balls to the fullback that haven't really been coming off do support this, it's as if we expect them to be in more space than they are.
