Campbell Forsyth was a big reminder of my early days at The Dell

Sad to hear, remember seeing him play a few times, and of course he was famously beaten by Shilts in the 5-1 Leicester defeat (I didn't see that game in the flesh). RIP Campbell.

I did, it was pissing down that game as well, scarred for life (I thought at the time).

I was there also long way back to Basingstoke in the 60s

Big man and a big character, he was working at Dalmahoy some years ago when I played in a society golf match !

He gave me the big build up over the microphone on the first tee and of course, I fluffed it !

Joined us for the after match dinner and was great company, spoke fondly of his time with Saints even although it was blighted by injury and very short lived !

Fantastic keeper, one of my heroes from that super sixties team. Seems only yesterday, where did all the time go - cue - misty eyed nostalgia.😢

Sadly, there will be no eulogies in the mainstream media as he didn't play for Manure or the Bindippers
