Lighthouse Posted 6 November, 2020 Posted 6 November, 2020 So we need: Wolves to win at Leicester by three goals or fewer Liverpool to lose at City Spurs not to to win at West Brom Everton not to beat Man Utd In order to stay here for a couple of weeks. 1

Shame that Spurs have an easy game (on paper) as I can see the other 3 games going our way.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 November, 2020 Posted 7 November, 2020 In any event we will end the week in a champions league position
cf saint Posted 7 November, 2020 Posted 7 November, 2020 I don’t really remember being top in 88 specifically because during the 80’s we spent so much time around the top of the table but I read elsewhere it was one of those strange tables after 3 or 4 games. I know this is a bit unreal with the rest of the games to come but this is 7 games in with a side playing great football. Enjoy for as long as it lasts. 1

In 88 we won the first 3 game against weaker teams (West Ham, Luton and QPR). This time out we’ve played some pretty decent teams. In all honestly I’m enjoying the games, not necessarily for the winning but for the way we play and just the general likability of our players. 1
striker Posted 7 November, 2020 Posted 7 November, 2020 I just can't believe we are in this position, just amazed. Who do you think we are going to play in the Champions League? 1
SaintBobby Posted 7 November, 2020 Posted 7 November, 2020 It's amazing. Too much to take in. I'm now mainly worried that we will do a Deportivo - end up missing a penalty in the last match in the last minute which would otherwise win us the league! Nice worry to have!

Without being greedy I will be happy for Man Utd to get a draw or win at Everton so we stay top until Sunday. Spurs and/or Leicester result will put us back into Champions League place 😂

John D Posted 7 November, 2020 Posted 7 November, 2020 (edited) In the unlikely event that results go our way before the City v scousers game is anyone thinking long term and prefer a draw so that our title rivals both drop points or just stay top? 🙂 Edited 7 November, 2020 by John D Forgot to finish
