Tbf he is very good at playing large periods of a game with a yellow card. Don’t think he’s ever been sent off? Though obviously it means he needs to be more careful for the rest of the game.

See Spurs at home as an example of why its bad. But at least we have an option to sub him now.

Good for us fate is a human construct that doesn't manifest in reality then! 😉

🙈 😅 ... now there are 3 posts used up in a day good for nothing. Here is hoping for 3 points tomorrow seeing as I wont be able to say anything about the game.

3-1 Saints Ings Hatrick

Must be nearly the one year anniversary of the Leicester 0-9 game so expect that to be mentioned every few mins on the commentary, hopefully no repeat of that performance.

I'd definitely be happy with a point , our home record is still not great,  Pickford is bound to be man of the match when he should be suspended. Their midfield looks strong, hope Armstrong is available.

Its happened.  BBC just posted a piece entitled "Southampton's 9-0 defeat 'felt like relegation'- Bertrand".........  I really can't bring myself to add the link here......

Love the optimism generally on the forum. Not sure I can see a win to be honest and the most we can hope for is a draw, but it is the hope that gets you! Whoever scores first will have a good shout of a win, so let’s hope we get at them early, don’t try to walk the ball into the net and lastly IF we score first, we don’t sit back and wait for their equaliser.

If we lose, I blame Sky for putting Redknapp on commentary once again (as if he’s some kind of Saints friend/expert).😀

Gosh that bench is lacking- no Obafemi either...

It's not that bad. We can only use 3. Stephens gives decent defence cover, Diallo midfield, and Long out wide or up front. The kids all get match day experience.

Yeah I suppose

I would have liked Djenepo in there that is all- obviously- my comment never suggested we need to buy players or anything just wish we had chance to get Djenepo/Walcott as options off bench

**MLT alert- you don’t need to explain Walcott can’t play because he can’t face his parent club
