You've so far failed to demonstrate the connection that what is happening at Göztepe or Valenciennes is the cause for the Saints Omnishambles. Sport Republic are the fucking connection.

I am not disagreeing with your stance, that’s your perogative. I just think you are far more patient than most. The rational position to take, therefore, is to assume that they will continue with this ineptitude. Not rational because different people are now making the decisions. 2 1

I'm not happy with it. But there is nothing the fanbase can do to change it. Plus given they have themselves admitted it is a fuck up (hard for them not to) and have made changes at the top, what more do you want? Isn't it changes at the top we want... and that has receny happened. So wait and see what those changes in decision makers makes. 1 1

Unlike this thread, where MLG will continue to believe in a new SR dawn every time they change something in their vending machines, a number of us were only going to get a bit more honest about repeat behaviour. Which happened, when faced with a large number of pedantic posts, from someone who runs away when shown repeatedly to be wrong in those posts. I popped him back on ignore only to see another outcome where, since he's unable to admit to anything/discuss like a grown up, threads just become consumed by the nonsense above. I've seen a couple of MLG tags in recent days too, from posters aware that MLG is only a point of pedantry away from derailing a discussion. That was a sign before his Great Sulk not long ago. A point where, after a couple of weeks for people to realise he was away, I thought the board improved markedly. 3
Roger Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Phil parsons is a big problem. The bloke is useless. The staff think he’s an absolute joke. 1

"Abusive behaviour is not welcomed" Do you think you may have violated that over the years without punishment? You are a middle aged man that throws around petty personal insults. Sure my posting style winds some people up the wrong way, but I don't get personal like you do. I have no issue with people disagreeing with me, this is a forum... for discussions. I know some of my opinions will be like Marmite on here. That is where the discussions come in, not abuse. Do you really think your behaviour on this forum is acceptable and meets the forum rules? How do you know the selection committee listened to his recommendations ? With players like Wood coming in it seems a former manager was heavily involved in the final choices

I've said numerous times on here they fucked up recruitment. They've made an attempt to resolve it. I will wait and see if it works, I have not said or claimed it definitely will. That is the rational position to take. They've attempted to fix the fucked up recruitment by keeping the head of recruitment in place, and you want to wait and see what happens. 2

Mowbray doesn't have final say on signings. Plus we also do not know yet if he is staying or not. Johannes Spors may restructure the recruitment department. He has only been in the job for 1 week and will need to assess the mess he is tasked with turning around. Edited 8 hours ago by Matthew Le God 1 2
SaintNewForest Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I genuinely admire those who still find positivity and faith in these utter clowns & charlatans. Hats off to anyone who thinks they'll come good. These clowns are ruining our club, and making us an utter embrassment and a laughing stock. Quicker they get run out of town the better. 4

Yep, nailed it. There’s losing, and there’s being the biggest joke and laughing stock the premier league has ever seen. To think These idiots took over a relatively established premier league club too, almost a decade back in the top flight when they took over. And they managed to make us this uncompetitive in record time. We aren’t just crap and going down, we are a complete embarrassment to levels never witnessed before. The club are lucky the stadium is more than half full on Match days now. The performances deserve crowds of 8-10k Edited 7 hours ago by Mboto Gorge 4
FarehamSaintJames Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Eighteen months ago after relegation it felt like there was some kind of backbone around the club. Russell Martin in as manager. Jason Wilcox working closely as director of football. Darren Mowbray coming in as head of recruitment. The list goes on. But there was a spine to the club. A way the club wanted to move forward and develop. A catalogue of errors along the way. Jason Wilcox jumping ship was the first domino to fall. This clearly ruffled some feathers behind the scenes as the season came to a close. Not replacing him was the biggest mistake. Russell Martin pretty much having reign (supposedly) on the transfer window, probably alongside Darren Mowbray, based on success of previous seasons signings and the bargain bin along the way. No real strategy. Sacking Russell Martin - change needed to be made at that point. Bringing in a new manager in Ivan Juric - a man with no experience of the Premier League, not using players to their strengths, bizarre formations and tactics. Dragan Solak says in a Talksport interview Juric is here for next season too. No January transfer strategy, aside from cut losses and bin off players that are surplus to requirements. Then, a technical director is brought on board. Someone who will no doubt want a say in manager and player strategy, almost certainly I would be surprised if he and Juric were on the same page for next season.

'no matter how shit we are, they just keep coming and paying'. Probably get 30k per home game next season too. Where's the problem they say?
HarvSFC Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Four managerial appointments under Sport Republic: Nathan Jones - 1 Premier League victory from 8. (7 losses) Ruben Selles - 2 Premier League victories from 16. (10 losses) Russell Martin - 1 Premier League victory from 16. (13 losses) Ivan Juric - 1 Premier League victory from 9. (8 losses) At least they're consistent. 1
