Whilst the main spotlight will be on Martin’s imminent sacking, there are bigger issues at hand.

Rasmus cannot continue to have association or voting power even over SFC at the SR table. A bit like when someone has had a severe gastro bug and puked/shat everywhere, chuck some of the worst performing functions out within the club and spend the rest of the season rebuilding off the field. Scouting needs 100% overhaul, new CEO, marketing, Director of Football, total new management and coaching team. Academy is being neglected, need a higher profile and stronger figure leading that who can drown Rasmus out if Dragan really won’t stop him terrorising our club.

Need new owners/executives, it is not just Martin.

Agree, and if they won’t sell, then the only compromise can be total new leadership at the club and full independence from SR board with an experienced leadership team with 20-25 years good experience in the industry’s top European divisions. Rasmus will mean there isn’t an SFC in 5 years time.

Who needs stadium expansion when we can sell the site, and ground share with Sholing ?
We’re all aboard the Rasmus bus. Epic times ahead.

The lack of football knowledge or business acumen from people on top positions is laughable.

I have no issue in what SR want to do long term. But in know way will you be able to build it properly or finance it if things are shit in the short term.

There is such a lack of awareness from those at the club.

Given their past performances I feel sure they will soon be talking to the third team manager of Cheltenham Town about our vacant manager’s job. Given the ineptitude they have shown in running SFC it’s hard to believe they have succeeded in any business ventures.

Obviously they have but how..(cue Jaws music😎)

Been asking myself this for ages 🙂

What makes you think he is making decisions at Saints currently? He is chairman of Goztepe.

The Henrik Kraft interview a few weeks ago where he referred to Rasmus as ‘Mr Football’ across the SR group.

Which is a bit like referring to Frank Spencer as Mr Safe Construction at Balfour Beattie.

Oh I'm pretty sure he still has his finger in our particular pie.

He's the top football man* and we are the flagship club of the group. He is 100% involved.

*I'm not making a value judgement on whether he deserves that role. But he is.

Appreciate your forum role as 'Contrarian in Chief' but someone needs to update Wikipedia if you genuinely believe that Ankerson isn't involved with any decision making at SFC....

I know a possession obsessed manager who is available!

wish we could have helped you out, was highly recommended by Football Genius Rasmus, hey?

But our Wizard Ben Chorley found out a cheaper (better ?) option! My blind redneck friend sees us making  our way back to ligue 2, ligue 1 and Champions league within 2 years !. Crazy what moonshine helps you to say sometimes.

I think the real answer to this question is that Rasmus is co-founder of sport republic and hence co-owner of saints. I get DS pays the bills but I don't think he can just sack the others because he pays more. He would have to buy them out, which they would have to agree to do. Can anyone shed light on whether my understanding is correct?

It depends on the company's bylaws or articles of association but it's likely that, as majority shareholder, Dragan can remove any executive from the company. Typically you can remove a CEO by a simple majority vote and Dragan would have to be insane to have it any other way. Having the title of co-founder doesn't make offer any protection from this. Given the speed at which Martin was removed assuming that Dragan finally lost patience from a position of security a couple of weeks ago it's safe to assume he can assert himself.

The trouble is Rasmus and Henrik were the football brains he trusted to build his empire and it's plenty easy to replace them with other chancers.
