Nice to see we've posted a profit in excess of £5m.  All that buying cheap shit players seems to have paid off.  Now to claim the net spend badge again over the summer to really get the money rolling in - the two other clubs will benefit massively.

It's about time that the club recruited someone who has built their knowledge on the back of football management games.

Well done the club on finally finding the perfect person with that knowledge and those essential skills, it must have been a really tough task to find the right person.

The outfit will likely use the simplest of AI routines to identify targets…

Position required + <£10m + (<19 years old or >30 years old) + >70% pass accuracy = ACCEPT!

Where SR often forget to change "position required" from Left Back. 🙂

What a load of absolute fucking shit.

You just have to hope that there are people above who have actually watched a player, understand their character and mental suitability for playing football at a high level who make the final decisions.  Vegard Forren was a player I remember having a conversation with someone at our technical scouting team, and that player had all the stats to show he could play in the Premier League, but clearly did not want to move from Norway at that time so didn't have the right mentality.  The tech team couldn't believe it didn't work, a human centred approach may have been more helpful that just stats.

Whoever recruited that fucking geek should be out the door.
Why can’t we be run like a normal football club, this shit boils my fucking blood.

I’ll put money that some fucking speccy twat is using AI to scout our players (and I am an IT geek speccy twat myself.  I did play a bit though.  Proper football, not some PlayStation bullshit).

He must have turned down the position as he clearly has an eye for talent based on his 2008/09 ones to watch. All had exceptional careers following leaving Southampton so who are we to judge scouting abilities like this?

Youngster to watch = Andrej Pernecky

Youngster to watch = Jamie Hatch

Youngsters to watch = Oliver Lancashire and Aaran Racine

Youngster to watch = Jamie White

Youngster to watch = Jake Thomson

Youngster to watch = Matthew Paterson

That Koke fella brags about being the founder of the Bereton Diaz for Chile movement on X...

Surely that would immediatley disqualify him? 😅😂

So we are going full on remote scouting and utilising YouTube and football gaming data. What could go wrong?

Can’t wait for these ‘Monster’ players with the team playing ‘Beast’ tactics. Or should that be the other way round?

I know it’s April the first but the first announcement was in March.

Hilariously bad owners

Ankerson, Dragan.... All of them

Fucking this club good and proper

Which is why they've made changes. But those changes are unable to have a major impact on the pitch until the new season.

Very little/zero belief that these changes will amount to anything.

Why? We have a completely new person in charge of football decisions. Someone with a strong track record.

Because nearly everything else they have done has been bad

Shouldn't need explaining

Other people, not Spors. So why judge Spors on the actions of other people he had no influence over?

It is Sport, not Sports. So I'm judging you on continuing to not even get the name correct for the company you are dismissing!

Plus, Johannes Spors good track record at other clubs is completely separate from Sport Republic decisions at Saints.

Nathan Jones had a good track record else where

Wrong for Saints

Not in the top flight of a major European league he didn't!

Spors has in both Italy and Germany, plus also in the Netherlands.

The Championship is a long way from the standard of the top European Leagues, like that in Germany and Italy.

Still one of the top leagues in Europe

What is Sports track record in building an immediate promotion side in the English championship?

Even if it were 8, 9 or 10 that is a long way from the level in the top 5 like Germany and Italy.

So, tell us about his track record in the English championship

He has a track record of promotions into top flights of major European leagues. Whether it is the Championship or not is irrelevant.

Not the same role. Plus Martin had no top flight experience in a major European League, Spors has.

Let's see. Reckon we down for the long haul, Spors will last for about 1 season before he fucks off

Sports Republic are terrible owners with terrible footballing sense

Yeah, that remains to be seen. Didn’t our current clown of a manager have a half decent record in Europe?
