Top division in Turkey, lower down but aiming to go up in France and the National League in England. 🙂
Weston Super Saint Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Nice to see we've posted a profit in excess of £5m. All that buying cheap shit players seems to have paid off. Now to claim the net spend badge again over the summer to really get the money rolling in - the two other clubs will benefit massively. 3
CB Fry Posted March 31 Posted March 31 (edited) It's about time that the club recruited someone who has built their knowledge on the back of football management games. Well done the club on finally finding the perfect person with that knowledge and those essential skills, it must have been a really tough task to find the right person. Edited March 31 by CB Fry 8
ChristopheVAFC Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I don't know this person but I hope he or she will do a good job for the good of our 3 clubs.
Saint Fan CaM Posted March 31 Posted March 31 The outfit will likely use the simplest of AI routines to identify targets… Position required + <£10m + (<19 years old or >30 years old) + >70% pass accuracy = ACCEPT!

Where SR often forget to change "position required" from Left Back. 🙂 3

You just have to hope that there are people above who have actually watched a player, understand their character and mental suitability for playing football at a high level who make the final decisions. Vegard Forren was a player I remember having a conversation with someone at our technical scouting team, and that player had all the stats to show he could play in the Premier League, but clearly did not want to move from Norway at that time so didn't have the right mentality. The tech team couldn't believe it didn't work, a human centred approach may have been more helpful that just stats. 2

Why can’t we be run like a normal football club, this shit boils my fucking blood. I’ll put money that some fucking speccy twat is using AI to scout our players (and I am an IT geek speccy twat myself. I did play a bit though. Proper football, not some PlayStation bullshit). 1 1

All had exceptional careers following leaving Southampton so who are we to judge scouting abilities like this? Doctoroncall Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) So we are going full on remote scouting and utilising YouTube and football gaming data. What could go wrong? Can’t wait for these ‘Monster’ players with the team playing ‘Beast’ tactics. Or should that be the other way round? I know it’s April the first but the first announcement was in March.
