I'm prepared to give Solak a pass at this point.

Does anyone ITK...I mean REALLY ITK, vaguely have a rough idea of what's going on right now?

Is Solak bumping the lot off?

I read this board a lot and I don't want the fucking idiot wannabe ITK's replying here

CoT will fill you in imminently.

A lot also commented about how Wilcox hadn't done anything and why on earth Man Utd wanted him (because he is good at it). RM was certainly not the same after he left.

Fair point re: Wilcox, but regardless of the question marks over his effectiveness, I would venture that most people didn't need hindsight to realise leaving a massive DoF sized hole in our management structure wasn't going to end well...

(MLG note: Yes, I know we had someone who notionally picked up the responsibilities of the DoF role, but it wasn't what we would consider to be a 'proper' DoF person)

Yeah. Wasn't there a video clip of him when he was in Italy giving an owner both barrels in a car park? Sounds to me like he’s come here and discovered just how much of a shitshow the club is behind the scenes and told Solak about the easy culture.

I don’t think people get how powerful Solak is in the Balkans. In
the Balkans they shoot opponents over there.

Poor old Franz and Sofie.

Which will probably consist of some bizarre photo such as Trump and Putin holding each others cocks while King Charles kneels before them with a pot of tea.

Make of that what you will, but don't sink any ships.

You could put Dot Cotton on the board, but the Chairman is the decision maker.

Rasmus might be sorting out the coffee machine still though, who knows, but he won't be making any decisions about Dragan's money.

Sadly dear old Dot is dead.

We were not debating what he does, just whether he is on the board or not and he is.

He will have had some input as the writing says "he brings to Saints extensive experience as a football executive"

The value he brings like Kraft has clearly been useless

Sadly, it will not be as informative as that, apart from cocks bit

Personally I can't wait for him to be replaced by someone who's got absolutely no experience of football but has done a really good Ted Talk on DISRUPTING INDUSTRIES!

Maybe if we're lucky we can break something to prove it should be broken.

WE BUSINESS SPEAK ON!

That's very likely, thinking about it.

Solak transferred (or sold) shares to Boklag very recently...see earlier in thread. Possibly same for Gerkens earlier in 2024.

Rasmus Ankersen

Rasmus is Co-Founder and CEO of Sport Republic. He brings to Saints extensive experience as a football executive, previously leading Brentford FC to promotion to the Premier League in 2020 as Co-Director of Football and overseeing the most successful period in Danish club FC Midtjylland’s history as Executive Chairman. Rasmus is also the author of several bestselling books on talent development, including The Gold Mine Effect and Hunger in Paradise.

Best-selling where?  Oxfam?

I can only assume that Kraft has been asked to leave due to his complete and utter incompetence at delivering THE FIVE PLEDGES.

Another board member rightfully forced out due to their lack of action on the pledges, hopefully any new person coming in will make it a priority and actually deliver them so we can move forward.

Disappointing return. Too much of a transition from the 8 Dairylea triangles to the 5 Pledges.

we've had a succession of chairman unable to deliver the elusive five pledges. I wonder if they are still somewhere in Krugers desk gathering dust next to Les Reeds secret file of managers we have been tracking for ages.

Trump is only doing that if the tea is a golden colour.

Hopefully Dragan will see sense and get in a proper visionary business leader like Mickey Fialka. He'd deliver the five pledges. Maybe even six.

Makes you wonder why having someone with basic football knowledge wasn’t at the helm in the first place.

Wonder if Souness has been in Dragons ear, pally aren’t they?

It's all a bit vague!

Apparently he is a 'best selling author' for selling 15k copies of 'DNA of a winner' :

https://www.iconbooks.com/ib-title/the-gold-mine-effect/

Quote

He published his first book, DNA OF A WINNER, in Denmark at 22 years old. The book became a bestseller, selling 15,000 copies and led Rasmus to follow up this success with LEADER DNA, selling an astonishing 32,500 copies.

Google says there is no record of how many books the 'gold mine effect' has sold, so presumably it isn't impressive or the knob head would plaster it all over his website.  I guess the gold mine didn't live up to its name.

Endorsement on there from another Saints innovator.

'A great read and a fascinating insight into performance.' Sir Clive Woodward

Might not be a popular opinion but Sir Clive Woodward probably had a fair bit to offer, some of which has been taken up in later years for ‘marginal gains’ etc in various sports.

What was ridiculous though is spending £ on his salary when we could not afford it after relegation, and worse still timing it to work alongside ‘arry.

I wonder if Juric has his ear? Told him a few home truths about how the club is bring run?

I reckon this has been on the way for a while. As mentioned before Juric said he had been keeping an eye on Saints for a couple of months . He will have had a very good idea on what he has let himself in for.
yeah we heard his Black Metal vide , his comment he doesn’t like golf it’s not aggressive enough and that fairly decent fight he had with Roma’s Sporting  Director he’s clearly going to messed around with .
I’ve worked with many different managers and my experience happy clappy managers don’t always work . These are some young lads they need some direction . They need to respect the guvnor . From what I have seen they are working for him . We have an unsettled team again. Some are still getting over the Russball brainwashing we’ve been hit by injuries, suspensions and more than of fair share of shit refereeing decisions.
This is just my opinion yep I’ve backtracked from a lot I said last season, so what ? What I think makes very little difference but I do like the way Dragan has really taken control.
I mean seriously everyone watches Premier League football can you imagine the shit he’s had from other businessmen  I Don’t don’t feel sorry for him he’s loaded but he must be seriously fucked off. He had that flip out in Saints Hospitality kicking chairs around . He’s walking around chatting to his guests and his team has been humiliated by Spurs FFS

The rest of the season is a write off but it gives Juric a lot of valuable time to see who’s pulling thier weight . He’s not going to stand on the touchline wondering whether one of his players needs a hug or not after the game.
im damn sure he’s got a decent idea who he can rely on Archer . He’s knows he’s good committed . He’s checking out the other players. Juric will make some strange decisions but he will be looking big picture.

This is of course is a lot of speculation but I do know a lot about Dragan, Balkans politics , they way they think. He’s been taking on the Serbian Government and the Russians that’s hardcore.
I know a good bit about Juric. It an insane but interesting set up Juric is a Croatian they hate the Serbs and Russia . I find the whole thing fascinating. It just might make for a rollercoaster ride until the end of the season . A really interesting summer. Next season should be great.

i didn’t believe some on here who said Dragan was fucked off we didn’t go up in top place . In hindsight it makes sense.
yeah a long read if you can be bothered but I do give a shit maybe maybe we can shake up this poncy modern football and upset a few people .

I was just typing some similar thoughts when your post popped up.

There’s no way we’d hire a Croatian manager unless it was what Dragan wanted, so I think he’s been taking control for a while - this move just formalizes it. He’s had a gutful of the current lot and he’s now putting his people in place. I can’t see Juric committing if he would be required to adhere to Rasmus’s ideological bullshit, so hopefully Rasmus is in the group now being marginalized.

The next moves should be interesting.

I thought Rasmus was who headhunted Jones
