Wurzel Posted 5 October, 2020 Posted 5 October, 2020 For someone who takes his Fantasy Team pretty seriously this season so far is proving an absolute nightmare. In the real world it's looking like it could be the most enjoyable and interesting season for god knows how long, certainly since the PL started.

But there’s probably a combination of Jose playing him exactly the right way, Jose’s man management, playing with better players, a slight drop off as he wanted out with us, the boost a new club gives you, and Spurs have bossed the last 2 games. When they were playing poorly he was woeful and over a season his limitations will be exposed imo. He’s not a game changer but will probably do ok when they’re playing well, but will struggle when they’re off the pace. Edited 5 October, 2020 by Lord Duckhunter 1
Saint Garrett Posted 5 October, 2020 Posted 5 October, 2020 In fairness, playing in our midfield is incredibly difficult as we only play 2 in there, he can keep it a lot more simple and just sit in one place, it's easier, there was never any doubt he was a class player. 1
Jimmy_D Posted 5 October, 2020 Posted 5 October, 2020 17 hours ago, Jonnyboy said: How in the hell is Hoj a player now? Was Ralph really holding him back somehow He always had excellent defensive stats for Saints, that's the reason Spurs wanted him. His passing isn't the best, and that was more visible when he played for Saints than the defensive work he put in. It's one of those incredibly rare transfers where both teams have done well out of it. KWP is more valuable to us with a few years on his contract in a weak position for us than Hojbjerg was with one year left on his contract in a position where we have more options, and Hojbjerg is more valuable to Spurs than a right back they weren't using. We've lost one of our better midfielders, and Spurs have lost arguably their best right back. 2
Lighthouse Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 How’s Pickford stayed on the pitch for that?!

edprice1984 Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 Anyone else keeping an eye on the u18 Saints v Leicester game...😇
skintsaint Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 Well its been a decent derby. Shocking defending and challenges though throughout!
whelk Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 VAR a killing the game don’t care how many cunts say otherwise

The Cat Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 Josh Sims with the assist for Doncaster's goal in their 1-0 win at Pompey. 1

stevy777_x Posted 17 October, 2020 Posted 17 October, 2020 Van Dijk out 7 to 8 month due to ACL injury 1

Klopp said it's bad, but they're still waiting fur scan results so nothing definite. And he walked off the pitch, which would be unlikely for an ACL. Edited 18 October, 2020 by Shroppie

bpsaint Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Yeah one of my team walked off the pitch after doing his ACL in a Sunday league mate. Could tell from his scream it was pretty serious though. What really screwed him up with the surgeons leaving a piece of equipment inside him when they stitched him up 😳

But looking at that screenshot the lines looked about 20 degrees out of line with the 18 yard line ! Totally ridiculous to give offside in this case because it didn’t look offside to the naked eye . VAR rules need a rewrite ASAP. Edited 18 October, 2020 by East Kent Saint
skintsaint Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Palace doing Brighton exactly how they did us........so shit to watch.
SNSUN Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 (edited) Palace getting what they deserved for defending the entire game. I bet their fans are glad they aren't at the stadium to watch that crap. Speaking of ultra defensive, here come West Ham with a 5-4-1 formation against Spuds. 😖 So much dross in the Premier League this season. Glad to be a Saints fan right now. We have a great manager in charge. Edited 18 October, 2020 by SNSUN Used "dross" twice in one post 'cos I lack imagination. 1

Jimmy_D Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Have to say Spurs attack is quite something to watch this season.
wadesmith Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 I think 15 million for Hojberg is going to look a nice deal. I thought they had overpaid at the time, but he’s looked great the last 4 games. Turns out Mourinou does know more about football than me. 1

Lord Duckhunter Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 The media had all written Jose off. Yesterday’s man, and all that.
steve green Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 This is funny though, well the look on Jose's face as the og went in was
John Boy Saint Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 What a goal to make it 3-3 football is bloody nuts right back to the IPL
Teddeer Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Is Jose still smiling? Brilliant! Serves the cocky north London yobbos right.

Teddeer Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Jose must learn from this - don't bring on Bale when you are leading three nil.
qwertyell Posted 18 October, 2020 Posted 18 October, 2020 Absolute bottle job from Spurs. That's why they'll never win anything. No leaders. Still, good news about that "midfield general" they signed to shore up things...
