I think BBC get the first choice.

We’ve won on BT Sport for the 3rd round, and the 4th round and also the 5th round.
Yesterday, we also won on BT Sport.

I’d suspect that BBC will go for City vs Chelsea, meaning we might just be on BT Sport again.
It’s our year ;)

So Saturday on BT Sport. Feels winnable already.

Bit of a debate going on about the latest England U21 defeat and the selection by Boothroyd, was going to say how bad Ramsdales goalkeeping is in the league then I realised he's actually got a better record than we have by 1 goal and his team have been rank bottom the entire season. 😅

Strange considering there are absolutely no issues with our tactical defensive set up. Absolutely none at all.

We should have dropped McCarthy way before we did, I know Forster isn't a fan favourite, but to me we've looked a LOT better with him in goal.

Categorically, no.

Really?

They've just put 5 past Chelsea in their own backyard and they're only 8 from safety.

It's not a foregone conclusion they go down.

Also, I would like to extend my welcome to the Premier League Thomas Tuchel. We've been expecting you. 🤣

Chelsea went down to 10 with 29 mins on the clock and 1-0 up...they capitulated, West Brom havent become Man City over night.

They have won 4 games all season and regardless of the result today, they're gone. Would need to win 5 of their last 8 to possibly get safe imo. Too little too late for Fat Sam

Chelsea went down to 10 men early on in the game. We know better than anyone what happens after that.

It is a foregone conclusion that they are relegated.

"Only 8 from safety". For crying out loud, these people.

We wouldn't have put 5 past them with 5 men.

Yep, the noble folk of Chelseaweb will be asking serious questions of him. He's only as good as his last game, guys!

On that note, "Poch out" is trending on twitter. Something to do with Jose Fonte's Lille (TM) going top of Ligue 1.

Many teams can get hit for 5, it happens pretty often. 9 however (4 more goals, just think about that), it takes a very shit team for that to happen to.

Don't let hypothetical situations annoy you, life's too short.

Nothing "hypothetical" about it.

We lost 3-2 to Newcastle United playing with 9 men for 20 odd minutes.

And some on here think we'd have done what WBA just did because "chelsea collapsed with 10 men".

Leicester player gives KDB a slap, KDB milked it a bit, yellow. Had that been a Saints player there'd have been no hesitation and red.

Why do you think a Saints player would be sent off for it vs Man City, but a Leicester City player wouldn't? It is screwing over Man City, not Leicester.

Just some of the decisions we've had in the last 2 seasons. Refs have no hesitation to send our players off (usually correctly) but other teams seem to get away with yellows.

Some of the goals chalked off for offside too. Drawing lines until they somehow have us off. One week Ing's black arm band, the next Adam's wrist.

Anyway, I know you want to do your usual arguing but this is the last I will say about this. Sorry.

Just watched dirty, cheating Leicester lose to Man City. They really are the worst team in the league for utilising the full array of 'dark arts'. It must be part of their training. What an obnoxious character Maddison is. He's one of the worst culprits. I want us to beat them even more now but we're going to need a very good refereee to avoid getting injuries and red cards.

What exactly is your point here? We we’re not Chelsea, we didn’t play West Brom today, but we did beat them 2-0

I haven't got a point.

You decided to take a shot at my comment and I replied you fuckwit.

Hopefully it is the last thing you say about it, as it’s absolute pony. If you think refs referee our game any differently, you’re deluded. In the grand scheme of things, we’re a insignificant middling club, why on Earth would referees have an agenda against us?

I'd say that Saints losing 9-0 to Man Utd having had a player sent off in the 2nd minute is about equivalent to Chelsea losing 5-2 to West Brom after having a player sent off in the 29th minute, given the relative quality of the teams.

I also think  the Chelsea game is further proof that teams which rely on a pressing game seem unable to function when they go down to 10 men

Thought DeBruyne was the biggest cheat on the pitch. Got a free kick from a dangerous position when nobody touched him and went down with a delayed reaction as though he'd been hit with a sledgehammer when someone slightly cuffed the back of his head. He also expected a free kick every time he lost the ball.

And he was still the best player on the pitch. He didn't 'cheat' that pass.

Watch the highlights again. Free kick in the first half just outside the penalty area he wasn't even touched. Handbags incident he felt a cuff on the back of the head, there was a moment of delay, then he threw himself to the ground clutching his head as though a sniper had shot him - obviously trying to get the player sent off. Also moaned to the ref every time he lost the ball. Great player but wants it all his own way.
