Hojbjerg getting slaughtered by Spurs fans on Twitter today. Them chickens is coming home to roost. The guy is a no trick phoney and getting found out big time.

Are these the same Spurs fans that were praising him to the hilt a couple of weeks ago and hailing him as future captain material...?

Football fans in being fickle shocker. At least we don't get that on here... ;)

What's the world record for highest ever score-draw....?

There was a 6-6 in Scotland a while back. I mainly remember it because of the Saints connection - Jutkewicz scored the equaliser and he was at Saints as a youngster.

Well it won't be our game, especially if Ings is out. Walcott and Adams are playing well in supporting roles but neither are prolific goal scorers. Unless Vestergaard gets a few headers and Ward Prowse is allowed several free kicks on edge of the box.

Leeds are a team who enjoy a bit of chaos. Can go either way for them.

If we'd won yesterday, we'd have gone 2nd...

If, in tomorrow's games, Wolves beat Burnley and West Ham get a point vs Chelsea we'll be less than 3 points above the bottom half of the table...

Funny old season.

Not only am I reduced to watching Burnley on a wet Monday night but I'm also having to listen to that footballing "genius" (in his own head) Andy Hinchcliffe - who never ever made a mistake in his whole career....... as a bang average player for Man City, Everton and Sheffield Wednesday. He never ever missed with a shot, or failed to hit the target: he never gave a stray pass, never failed to mark his opponent, never got caught offside...blah blah blah. My god what a bore! He must have a bloody good agent to get the Sky gig.

And whilst on the subject of pundits. I know some here didn't like Ally McCoist on Amazon Prime. I admit I have never been a fan of his, but I will say this for him. I am English, he is Scottish, yet I can understand every word he says. Unlike another of Sky's pundits, Mr "Monday Night" himself....Jamie Carragher. What I don't get is,  he is apparently English, yet I can only understand about one word in six that he says. I'm sure he is speaking a foreign language most of time. Practicing his Outer Mongolian language lesson whilst being paid by Sky. It's like going on holiday to some far flung country, where you only know about four words of their language. You listen to the locals talking and occasionally you hear one of the words you know. For me, that's like listening to Carragher. He could be reading out a recipe for a sponge cake for all I know.

Oh well, that's got half-time out of the way - only another 45 minutes of Andy Messi....sorry, I mean Hinchcliffe.

Two decent results for Saints tonight.

Going back to the Burnley v Wolves game, has anyone else seen Nuno’s comments on Lee Mason? He is a poor ref overall and this forum has complained about him plenty, as have many forums but I can’t recall seeing anything in that particular game that warranted comments of that strength? EG Burnley didn’t get a very controversial penalty, fouls for their goals etc. Might have been a bit of previous from another Wolves game he has been on the whistle for but can see a hefty fine and maybe a ban on the cards for their manager.

I think Mason was on the VAR for the Man City game. Says it all.

Thank you to rooney, Toussaint and Turkish for responding to my assessment of messrs Hinchcliffe and Carragher. Turkish - well spotted sir, that photo explains everything. Well played.

As a kid though, I loved The Beatles, from the very same city (Dipperpool) but I understood every single word they ever spoke or sang. Jimmy Tarbuck (according to Scousers the funniest man of all time), I didn't like him, but I understood him. So......why the f** can I not understand Carragher?

Here, exclusively for you Ladies & Gents is one of Carragher's sentences  from last night's Monday Night Football........"Whackkk Wicckkkk chacckkkkk thaacckkk ticckkkk chockkkk macchhhhh flat back four whaaackkkk stackkkkk mickkkkkk nickkkkk tackkkkkk schlickkkkkk Sean Dyche thwickkkkk.

I reckon when he had that spitting incident out of his car window (for which Sky should never have employed him again - no doubt the Scousers would have lit candles and worn black armbands if that had happened).......he wasn't spitting at all......he was just trying to clear his throat.

Look, I know I shouldn't let it get to me. I know I should get out more. BUT I CAN'T! I'm now stuck in bloody Tier 4 here in West Berkshire.

Anyway - to all fellow Saints fans on here, be it here in the UK or in the four corners of the World - have a great Christmas guys and a Happy New Year. (Hey - not been a bad year for The Saints has it!!!!)

I guess, now we have broken cover, we will be taking to both knees for them in a couple of weeks time!

Anyway I will be lighting a candle and bowing towards the north west tonight for my absolution for posting such tongue in cheek heresy.

I've just written to SKY saying I will cancel my "SKY SPORTS PACKAGE" unless they put subtitles on the bottom of the screen whenever Carragher is on. I told them I've watched Japanese mystery films without subtitles and still understood more of what's going on than when he's on.

I'm considering calling their engineers out because there seems to be a fault on my set up. Basically on a Monday night, I get terrible interference on the sound, so bad that I can't make out what's being said.

I've also ordered a new TV remote from them because the mute button is worn out. (although that might be Hinchcliffe's fault).

Seems a bit over the top.

Brentford have defeated 20% of the Premier League so far in their cup run. That's quite impressive for a team which is also very much involved in a promotion campaign. Meanwhile, you have to go back 3 years and 38 games to find the last time the less impressive Andy Carroll scored a goal in any competition, which was in the FA Cup v Birmingham. How bad must their defence have been?

Everton and Villa back in the mix, annoyingly.

Not massively surprising, I think they both have better squad depth than we do. We've hit a bit of a period of injuries, first time in a while tbf. I don't think there will be much between ourselves and Villa at the end of the season though. Everton/Leicester and co just better than us.

It's been fun where we've been, but the reality is that where are are now is more akin to our current level imo - top 10 would be a great finish for me.

Dyche going to love that decision to disallow their goal. Is there a more loathsome player than Ashley Barnes?

Possibly not but that was a shockingly bad refereeing decision. Goalkeeper clatters Burnley player who wasn’t even aware goalie was there, free kick to Leeds, goal disallowed! Er, how?
