jamesfp1 Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Couldn't find the other, other games thread. 1-0 Arsenal. Lacazette.
miserableoldgit Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Am I the only one already sick to death of the Leeds/Bielsa love-in in the media?

Chewy Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 I see Lemina isn’t in Fulham's squad today ... still isolating? Not fit??
S-Clarke Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Standard Lemina really, it's unusual if he plays more than 20 odd games a season. Can't build a side around that.
OttawaSaint Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Cracking game this Liverpool vs Leeds. Leeds look decent in attack but weak at the back. DAZN has that annoying cock sucker of a commentator that sounds like he swallowed a dictionary.
S-Clarke Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 (edited) I must admit, It's a bit odd hearing the commentators saying 'Koch' at random points during the Leeds game. There could be some really uncomfortable timing moments as the season goes on! Wonder how long before they're asked to call him Robin instead...? (probably not long in this world) Edited 12 September, 2020 by S-Clarke
Manuel Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Salah's had Koch in his face the whole game.
danjosaint Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Showing why Phillips will eventually be England's cdm, if the jobs worth in charge picks him

Lighthouse Posted 12 September, 2020 Posted 12 September, 2020 Interesting set of results. I’d be more concerned if I was a Fulham or Hammers fan, than a Saints fan, based on today’s showing. Leeds are a bit hard to judge. They were always going to be up for this but could have conceded 6.
East Kent Saint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 “Vardy would rather get a shot in than go down for a penalty” Insane comment on today’s match !
warsash saint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Jamie Redknapp talking some shit pre-match regarding PEH!

No surprise there....how he’s kept his job while heads roll all around him is beyond me. Gary Neville just said “I’m not seeing anything from Hojberg and Winks in midfield from a possession point of view” ......you won’t Gary !
macca155 Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Spurs bench looks pretty tasty. If they don't want them I'm sure Saints could use a couple. How Holberg play in front of Sissoko is beyond me. Edited 13 September, 2020 by macca155

S-Clarke Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Standard Hoj performance really, they'll enjoy his home performances. All he'll do is stop them playing. Edited 13 September, 2020 by S-Clarke
OttawaSaint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Wonder if Hoj will go and clap the tarps and kiss the badge at the end?
Teddeer Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Spurs fans suddenly waking up to how poor Hojbjerg is judging by comments on their forum after that first half display. Hope they are not expecting him to improve with time because chances are they'll be disappointed. Edited 13 September, 2020 by Teddeer
whelk Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Hilarious that they are all moaning about Højbjerg so soon. Neville saying having a stinker. Lose to us next week and first big 6 team to be in ‘crisis’ 1
OttawaSaint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 My god he’s way off the pace, got totally done just now. Looks really unfit and like a little boy lost in that midfield.
OttawaSaint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 And now just totally gave up and started walking. Luckily DCL offside.
Teddeer Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Latest comment from Spurs fan, 'Hojbjerg, another sideways passing twat'. LOL Edited 13 September, 2020 by Teddeer 1

LOL That’s why Mourinho wanted him I suppose. Let’s hope for Southampton to get the other £5m in add ons, it’s only about 10 appearances. Bet he wished he’d joined Everton now..... Edited 13 September, 2020 by SW5 SAINT Missed something
OttawaSaint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Dove in there. Could be in trouble... Im thinking red and he’s feigning injury to get away with it. Edit: yellow Edited 13 September, 2020 by OttawaSaint
DT Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Quite pleasing to see Hoj play so badly. Could have gone then. Bad foul. Only his own histrionics and rolling saved him. Hope spurs plummet this season
S-Clarke Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) The spurs fans were sold a duff by the media. 'A forward thinking midfielder' 'the first potential replacement for Eriksen'. That performance there was him, that's Hoj. It doesn't get any better or worse than that. That's why I've never understood the clamour for him. Edited 13 September, 2020 by S-Clarke
John Boy Saint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Seeing as they already publish the table complete with the cobblers lines - no doubt our game against will be billed as a relegation zone 6 pointer! 😃 ............don’t you just love the alphabet to see Spuds beneath us 🤪
LuckyNumber7 Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Standard Hoj performance, lots of arm waving, giving away possession and picking up a card. Baffling how he's been built up in the media to be something special.
SW5 SAINT Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Jamie O’Hara’s verdict on SSN ‘ a quiet stinker’.....!
wadesmith Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 (edited) Cannot wait to smash Spurs next week & humiliate Hojberg. Karma. That’s if he’s playing!!! Lolz Edited 13 September, 2020 by wadesmith
bpsaint Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Loving the comments from Spurs fans on Twitter about Hoj, it seems the penny has dropped and we truly weren’t being bitter when we said they were welcome to him 🤣
Hawkswood Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 My highlight of the weekend was just watching the spurs game when PEH booted it out of play. Neville " oh thats awful from Holjberg". I was wetting myself particularly as Ive got a few good mates who are spurs fans and they were telling me hes the missing piece. I would say to them, chaps, hes really not very good. Then they would get a little condescending and point at his stats, to which I would reply, dont let the stats fool you, they dont tell the full story. Then they would claim I was just bitter that he had gone to a bigger club and they had managed to flog their bitpart fullback to us, regardlessof the fact I would tell them I was happy with the signing. Plus 3m. Ahhhh, schadenfreude.
Disco Stu Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 Højbjerg wondering whether he should have picked Everton instead 😁
Teddeer Posted 13 September, 2020 Posted 13 September, 2020 More like Everton thinking 'we dodged a bullet there'

Saint Keef Posted 14 September, 2020 Posted 14 September, 2020 I guess all Saints fans who watched that game, were paying particular attention to PEH's performance. It was a poor all round performance by Spurs, but PEH was possibly the poorest of all. Toby doesn't look the same player he once was either. As much as I hate to say it, I was actually quite impressed with Everton's shape and performance. And the first manager to get the sack this year could be..................... As for the previous game - West Brom and Leicester. That co-commentator/pundit Andy Hinchcliffe - boy he winds me up. I remember him as a reasonably average premiership player, I guess a good professional, but nothing out of the ordinary, ok but nothing special - but he commentates like he never made a mistake in his whole career, never failed to mark an opponent, never gave a stray pass away, never shot wide of the goal, never gave a foul away, never made a wrong decision.......yet he commentates like he was some sort of a tactical and playing genius. He's annoying me as much as Carragher now and that's saying something.

Teddeer Posted 14 September, 2020 Posted 14 September, 2020 Unusually not a single Prem game has resulted in a draw so far.

Let's not get too carried away on one poor PEH performance for Spurs, at least wait until after next week as he'll probably have the game of his life against us and score the winner. Sheffield United seem to have lost momentum from last season, Wolves played well but seemed comfortable tonight. No points for any of the promoted teams this weekend so none of them able to carry over the promotion feelgood bounce, although Leeds took a lot of credit for their performance.
