Tough looking December when our squad is usually stetched but otherwise balanced enough in terms of no absolute horror runs and opportunity for a decent start.

Nothing horrendous in there really. The toughest run, as you say, looks like November 21st - 2nd Jan when we have trips to Wolves and Arsenal with City, United and Liverpool at home.

Quite a well balanced season. January looks tricky though, Liverpool and Arsenal at home and Leeds and Leicester away.

Defo looking a bit more balanced than recent previous seasons

Top of the table by the first international break...? :)

Not bad fixtures, nice run in, and a decent start with Tottenham and Palace imo.

Obviously I've known about the opening fixture for some time but seeing the full list it looks nice and balanced.

I will always look at the last three matches and they look perfect if we are in any relegation bother.

Fun fact - this is the third consecutive year that Leicester away has been in mid-January. Its my closest away game and it is continuously clashing with my daughter's birthday weekend. Three effing years in a row. FFS.

Couldn't ask for a better match than Fulham away on Boxing Day, we always smash them (apart from that time when we played 16 year olds in a back three in the cup...).

Poor lass not having her dad around on her birthday. Still the two wins in those three games would have helped soften the blow.

From an away game perspective -  We will all be definitely missing a few good ones at the start, Palace obviously, most likely Villa & Chelsea as well in October.  Dont give a fuck about missing Burnley or Wolves. If we can get somehow get away fans back in full for December then 3 good trips to Brighton Arsenal & Fulham on boxing day. Last time we had Fulham on Boxing day ( 1-1 Lambert late pen)  there was a tube strike and I had to get buses there and back from North London - was quicker for fans to get there on the train from Southampton.  Feb is a shocker for away games - United, Newcastle & Everton in one month. Spurs end of March is good likewise with West ham last game of the season. Even Liverpool 2nd last away game looks okay if they manage to wrap the title up before then and play half drunk like they did this tail end of the season.

Does anyone know if all the games are going to be shown live? (Assuming fans are still unable to attend)

No, that's all stopped now. Back to normal broadcasting arrangements. There will be a % of fans able to attend, so they'll be the lucky ones!

For the rest of us it'll be a case of finding streams!

Streams seem very easy to find these days. They had a bit of a clamp down a while back but I never have a problem getting a decent one now.

Wish we had an easier home game to get off to a better start this time. But the few after Spurs are decent.

You'd hope we could beat Palace, usually do alright there. Lot of pressure on though to be a top away side again and keep the same intensity. After that start at Burnley next season I'll never be confident about a season opener.

Expand

Home game, easy?? After the last 3 seasons I'm not sure. I don't think it matters who we'd play at home! Better to face a team that will at least attack us.

Midweek games are pretty annoying. Arsenal, Leeds and Manchester Utd all away. Not that I think away fans will be in stadiums at all this season.

They're looking at Feb/March for away fans and an increase in home capacity, apparently.

I think everyone is just worried a little about what winter my throw up, so any real changes to 'social distancing' aren't going to happen until we're through that I don't think.

Not that much social distancing is going on at the moment! It all seems a bit of a token effort at the mo.

I did not see any Sunday fixtures - surely SKY will be broadcasting Sunday games as per usual. Have I misread the fixtures? Here"s wishing all fans a happy season - and the players too!)

They'll sit on their 'official' matchdays and KO times to start with, then Sky/BT etc. will choose the games they want and you'll start to see the fixture rearrangements.

One of those starts that could be really good or really bad, with both away games opportunities against mid table sides but the home game tricky against spurs.

Especially with PEH driving them from midfield... CL quality player he is. Apparently. According to PEH that is.

Good. We've booked our flights to Newcastle this morning. Friday to Monday. Before the prices get stupid.

There are no trains on a Boxing Day, whenever that is.

I just had a closer look to check against possible work and holiday dates - all away games clash so far so that's a bit of a result. Just have to get a result in the ballot or whatever they decide...................how weird I looked at those fixtures like I have for past seasons only typing this now I realise I will need to look through them again with "I hope I can see that game - oh and that one there" eyes.

Fulham is going to be a struggle even if fans are allowed back in by December.  They've only got three stands.

Could have been much worse I reckon. Palace away and Spurs at home are both winnable if we play like we did at the end of the season. And PEH back at our place so soon. No doubt he'll want to make a point! Equally KWP will want to prove Spurs wrong.  Follow that with Burnley away - tough, but again if we go there with the right mindset it's another winnable one.

So....0-1 points from the first three games would be very poor, 2-3 would be disappointing, 4-5 points wouldn't be a complete disaster, 6-7 points would be very acceptable. 9 would be brilliant.

Spurs game will definitely move from the Saturday, they play in Europa league 2nd qualifier round on Thursday 17th. It's only one leg hopefully they'll be away in Kazakhstan.

September is a strange month as they are squeezing in the first 4 rounds of the league cup so the whole squad will get games early on.

I reckon we'll beat them and am actually pleased it is our first home game. Stop being so negative Adrian.

Well my predo of Palace was accurate, just got the wrong venue. Still we seem to be decent away, and as long as we start the season as we started the post-COVID fixtures, we will pick up a few points.

I always look at the last few games of the season too, on the off chance we have a horror season somehow. (I'm talking Ralph poached, huge injuries to JWP and Ings, points deductions for Gao's ineptitude etc) The last few are favourable and should definitely give us a few extra points if we're not on the beach by then.

Yep, I'm putting money on a top six finish.

If they can keep up last season's results this could be a really good season. Actually, not could but should.
