Didn't realise that there are 3 less teams in PL2 this season, meaning Div 2 now only has 11 teams. Means 6 less league matches for the B team, which is not good for development. Important for the B team to get back to Div 1 playing against the best teams and playing more regularly. Burnley, Birmingham and Reading have all left.

for those of you interested in youth/B teams One Shot - The football factory documentry on Sky is a very good watch. Not Saints related but it follow a group of South London lads trying to make it in pro football. Not Saints related but a good watch.

Quoted aswell.

"We’ve got a brilliant week, challenging week, we’re playing the first-team Wednesday to help them prepare for Leeds United and that’s another big shift,” Horseman revealed in a club interview.

Maybe Ballard is the answer to our striker problems?  He scores for fun at every level: however Ralph is likely to play him at CB if he gets a chance.

Jimmy Jay Morgan looks a prospect from highlights on the site. Sent some lovely through balls in yesterday's game. Anyone know much about him?

Was just going to write the same.  Morgan looked a decent player, some lovely passes for chances and goals. Diamond Edwards looks a player too, strong, carries the ball forward and sees a  forward pass. Dom Ballard, seems to score goals whatever team he plays in. Scored a good poachers goal too but was offside, definitely looks to have a goal scorers instinct.

Looking forward to seeing if these guys can develop over the next couple of years and have a positive impact on the first team.

Great to see.
