sadoldgit Posted 25 July, 2020 Posted 25 July, 2020 Very sad news about the passing of Peter Green. I grew up with the music of the first Fleetwood Mac and he was a brilliant guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. RIP.

It came out as a single in April, 1969. I also loved "Albatross", which was released in November, 1968. Green was probably the best lead guitarist during the British blues boom of the mid-to-late 60s. He had a great tone and beautiful finesse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtmW2ek7WkQ 1

Verbal Posted 26 July, 2020 Posted 26 July, 2020 BB King, of all people, once said that Peter Green was the only guitarist who made him sweat - that his tone and feel for the instrument were unreal. Even his chord progressions were genius (D - A6 - Gm - D in Man of the World is so unusual and yet unbelievably beautiful even if you just strum it.) 1
