benali-shorts Posted 6 July, 2020 Posted 6 July, 2020 Impressive form over decent sample period of 20 games. Huge credit to Ralph for this. 1

angelman Posted 6 July, 2020 Posted 6 July, 2020 We really need to convert some of those losses into draws (at least). Liverpool have 2 draws (cos they win so man), Man City have 3 (mainly for the same reason) and we have 4 so far. W13, D4, L16 Looking at the teams 2 above, and 2 below, they've lost 12 and 13 respectively and had 8-12 draws. We've got the same number of wins as Burnley in 9th and Wolves in 5th.
RinNY Posted 6 July, 2020 Posted 6 July, 2020 The interesting thing about that table is that it's largely the same as the actual league table, with a few teams moving up or down a place or two but nothing significant, except us! This has really been a tale of two seasons for us: the first 12 games or so, and ever since. For whatever reasons, it took Ralph those 12 games to sort out the squad and the right system/team: but once it was sorted, we've been a top 8 team. Now that he knows the capabilities of the squad and the best system to play them in, we can look forward optimistically to next season, I think. Dead wood is being pretty ruthlessly weeded; a couple of good signings (KWP and another CB at least, I'd say) and we can challenge for Europe next season. No reason we cannot rival Leicester and Wolves ...
Teddeer Posted 6 July, 2020 Posted 6 July, 2020 Think it is clear from the form over last 20 games that the current bottom 3 deserve to go down.
skintsaint Posted 27 July, 2020 Posted 27 July, 2020 We have been on fire since the restart - shame the season finished when it did!! 1
