Perhaps RH wanted to get a true gauge of the fitness of his core starters against other sides in a match situation? Either way he must have been pleased with their performance. We'll see against Arsenal on Thursday, I suppose. Let's hope Arsenal's luck doesn't change against us..
Cabrone Posted 20 June, 2020 Share Posted 20 June, 2020 Ings has to be the buy of the season, 19 goals so far for less than £20M. What a great bit of business.
saintquin Posted 20 June, 2020 Share Posted 20 June, 2020 (edited) In the first ten minutes I think we were lucky not to be playing one of the top sides but, after that it was nice to be watching Saints without any nail biting. 3 very well taking goals too! fez Posted 21 June, 2020 Share Posted 21 June, 2020 Ralph was taking advantage of the empty stadium by shouting out advice and instructions to players during the game, which they could hear more clearly than when there's a roaring crowd. Farke wasn't (or at least not to the same extent)

Agreed - although he was being rubbished by many on here last season whilst on loan - not that any of them will admit it now

Without him this season we certainly could be in a spot of bother right now. We’re all cynical bunch on here and we all know the definition of a Cynic = an Optimist with experience. In Danny’s post match interview I couldn’t help but notice how his ‘Ampshoire accent is coming back.

Can't see JWP making that leap.
DT Posted 21 June, 2020 Share Posted 21 June, 2020 Good result but we were pretty off the pace for the first 20 minutes. They were by far the better side and we could barely string a pass together. Thought Obafemi was poor throughout I'm afraid. Defence looked okay centrally, less so down the flanks. Armstrong's finesse was great. Ings was excellent. Not sure Hojberg will walk into Spurs' midfield. Good three points though and great to be almost safe.

East Kent Saint Posted 21 June, 2020 Share Posted 21 June, 2020 Inns had injury worries and goal drought but it was pointed out to me by MOTD that he was a great link up player , the sort of performance it’s easy to overlook . Now he is looking good !

Obafemi was involved in the build up to the 1st goal and had the assist for the 3rd goal. Just saying... 😉 Obsfemi was guilty on occasion tp go blindly forward which could have cost us more goals. PEH looks good on stats but not onthe eye when watching. Yes he can be good but he can also be very slipshod with his passes and get caught on the ball.
