Haha.

Do you know, I hadn't even noticed that, but then again I'm not sure I've really taken much notice of KO times since we've been shut out.

Guess I won't be going this time, which suits me actually, as maybe the time after I can take my lad (who can't make this Sunday)

My ticket was listed under a seperate section, I think it was called 'Reduced Capacity Matches' and was further down the page. The link to the previous questionaire was also there.

It seems that Saints have emailed those who have been successful, I think it would be right for them to also email those who aren't so they know for sure as there does seem confusion where one person I know didn't receive any communication but their ticket is notified to someone else in their 'bubble' who received both.

Never easy dealing with our ticket office at the best of times.

They are also adding layers of tasks to be completed with this advanced health form, seems unnecessary to me, plus ID required but doesn't say what forms of ID are accepted.

Does anyone know what can be done in cases for those who share a season ticket?

If successful, what contact shall I have and what will I need on the matchday?
An email shall be sent to confirm next steps and information in relation to the match.
48 hours before the game, a mandatory Covid Questionnaire shall be sent. This must be completed by ALL attending supporters between 12-48 hours before the match. Failure to complete shall mean your ticket is not active.
ID shall be required from all over 18s on a matchday and must match the name on the ticket. Tickets are non transferable. Failure to produce ID matching the name on the ticket shall mean no entry.

Whilst it is common practice there is no officially no such thing as a shared season ticket.  therefore only the person who is the named season ticket holder will be able to attend

Where did all that extra stuff come from? All I’ve had is an email thanking me for my purchase & attaching the tickets. There was nothing about a health questionnaire or anything else.

Club are fucking loving it , bet there's a safety committee sat in their war room mapping out the battle plan on how they will control the 2000 virus spreaders, sorry I mean fans, at the ground on Sunday.

This bit really gets you in the mood for the game;

"We would like to remind you that evidence suggests that singing and shouting can increase coronavirus transmission, so in consideration of those around you please refrain from doing so."

ps don't forget to tell us about your health and bring your ID.

was probably less hassle going to a game in East Germany in the 70s.

Just received an email from Saints informing me that we’re in the ‘priority group’ and will get tickets for alternate home games. Imagine it will be worth checking if you weren’t sure, as Saints have wiped the purchase history on the website.

Me too. There was a bit at the bottom mentioning there is more chance for the Man City match because successful people this time won't be entered into the next ballot.

I wonder what they'll do for the FA Cup game because that's obviously not included in season ticket purchases.

That’s right, my email states.

Please note that as you have been selected to attend the game against Sheffield United, you will not now be selected through the ballot for a future fixture until all eligible 2020/21 Season Ticket holders have attended a match.

I got the same email saying I was unsuccessful but my name should have been taken out of the bowl anyway as I'm in tier 3.  I presume it was just a generic email to all season ticket holders who said they wanted to attend but didnt get a ticket

Posted

I opted out when I received the first email (don't like pre-season friendlies cos there's no atmosphere and Redjet service would be a pain in the arse!) and was surprised to find that I had been accepted !

I mailed them back and they responded immediately telling me that it was sorted !

So someone else gets the ticket, fair enough !

Like Lord D said, I've gone to the back of the queue but I can live with that so we move on...

No sweat from my side.....

Yes I got the same and I am in Tier 3. Assume that they did a sift of the database first to remove anyone who can't actually go. Hoping we might make Tier 2 before the next game

Tiers are reviewed next Wednesday I believe.

My concern relates to the need for specific ID for these matches. Traditionally letting someone else use a season ticket has been acceptable and widely practised.

You can’t have a pop at the club for that. Imagine the stick they’d get if a reporter got in under a false ID and had arrived from a tier 3 area. I’m sure one of the governments terms for allowing fans back in was that clubs know exactly who they’re letting in, where they come from, their Covid status & how to contact them.

I’m not having a pop in any way. The club can only follow government instructions. I was just pointing out that situations will probably change before the Man City game.

I don’t envy the club having to organise all this.

I’ve just checked the dares for the next COVID Tier review.

“The tiers will will be reviewed on 16 December, any changes to the tiers will be announced on 17 December, and changes will come into force on 19 December.”

So any reviews will be in force for the Man City game on Saturday the 19th.

That doesn't give them much time to invite an extra 2000 people if we go into a lower tier.

So, anyone NOT had a refund for man utd yet? Shows on website my refund was processed 03/12 but not recieved it yet. They are obviously processing Sheffield utd refund separately (despite previously saying both would be processed together) as website only shows refund for 1 game (assuming man utd).

I doubt that Southampton will go into a lower Tier. But it is scandalous that Warwickshire where I live is in Tier 3, when it has less cases than London. So we might make Tier 2. But in fairness to Saints there would not be enough time to apply that for the Man City game.

They emailed me to say it will be based on tier your post code is in when they do the ballot, makes sense.  Manchester now has fewer cases than London so I'm expecting it to be in the same tier as london after the next review.

It must be a nightmare for the club. You might be in Tier 2 on the Tuesday when they hold the ballot but then changed to Tier 3 on the Thursday which would come into effect on the Saturday so you wouldn’t then be able to travel.

Part of London are bad and there is some pressure to move them into Tier 3.

I'm the same.  Looking back over how long it took the previous refunds to be processed (I'm a bit bored!) I'd expect the Man Utd refund in my account tomorrow.

I assume they changed their minds on the Sheffield Utd refunds that hadn't already been processed because of the possibility that you might be refunded for a game you actually get to go to.

No singing 🤣 what a complete joke.

That being said only about 75% of our home crowd makes any noise anyway so most of the chosen few that will be in attendance will feel right at home.

Yes I did think that myself, St Mary's is mute South of the half way line so in some ways would have made sense to just limit tickets to fans that usually frequent the silent areas anyway, for those usually in Northam / Itchen North / Kingsland North this will probably feel strange. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I sat down at a game home or away for years.

For those who are going hopefully you are able to find some enjoyment in the whole experience and allow yourselves a cheer if we score. You're already socially distanced wearing a muzzle so a quick rendition of OWTS might escape punishment.

Up the Saints.

There's also a bit on the Club site about having to use the NHS Track and Trace App.

I haven't got it as my phone is about 3 years old. So I assume there will be some form filling to be done.

I’ve had an email confirming I’ve completed the questionnaire, however the other 3 lads haven’t, despite completing it.  I was the only one who received the initial email with the tickets attached (head of bubble I guess), so don’t know if the confirmation email applies to us all, or just me. Is anyone else in same situation

Only one of 10-15 of us got tickets and few have decent amount of aways. Hopefully get a City one and the pubs rules won’t be so restrictive. Spoons will be a joy

Makes me quite glad I opted out of the ballot(s).  To have to arrive early and sit in a stadium distanced from any friends and without atmosphere does not sound as attractive as sitting at home with a cup of tea (or something stronger). And it's cold and raining!

Blue gate queue was 15 minutes. Was all the way to marine parade.

Turned up at 11, my allocated time.

At 1115, a load of clowns turned up with 1030 times and got marched to the front.

Stewards were good. No issues. No moaning.

Not sure I'd rush back. Atmosphere was flat. Streets were empty going and coming.
