I'll accept that you're almost definitely right. Would take remarkable results all round for us to get dragged in.

Problem is, I'm a mathematician. 😂

As a mathematician you must live under the constant terror of a meteorite landing on your head. We are safe and have been since we beat Palace in January. In fact we could have lost EVERY league game since we beat Leicester on January 11th and still be outside the relegation zone.

Anyway, Reed playing well. My concern is he’s just a very good Championship player and the number of those slowly creeping into our squad is a worry. Also think Fulham will find themselves without Mitrovic for half their run in, which won’t help.

I think we need another central midfielder to replace Hojberg, but he is a better option than Romeu. RB and CB the real priorities to upgrade.

You've no idea how much stress this gives me. 😂

A draw tonight between Palace and Burnley would be the best result for us. I'm impressed by the Amazon Prime TV coverage both before the lockdown and now: good, old school commentary and great camera work.

Please can someone give me a clue as to what words they actually sing when Sky goes to adverts during football - me and Mrs JBS have given up guessing - “see the ball” possibly At the end.

Some teams just haven’t turned up since the break. Bournemouth and Leicester being two of them.

They’re really lucky that only Brighton have done anything. Watford getting 0 points against us & Burnley as well as Villa & West Ham hardly picking  up a point between them. If anyone strings a couple of results together they’ll stay up.

Bournemouth 0-2 Newcastle, 30 mins in

given their run-in.  Bournemouth are almost gone!!!

I hoped we were the team to seal their fate; probably be too late for us 🤣

they have Man u, Spurs and Man City in their next 4 games.

on paper, we are their easiest fixture (h) - and we are one of the division's best away sides 🤣

Aubameyang scores from a near similar goalkeeping error to the one McCarthy did in our game.

The bottom 6 bar Brighton’s solitary win have started poorly- funny that they were the biggest proponents for nulling the season but reality is none of them look like they currently belong in the PL.

Watching Everton v Leicester.

As a kid, I listened to The Beatles. I was a Beatles fanatic. Watched every interview and understood every word they sang and said in their Liverpool accents. Cilla Black was always on TV. Couldn't stand the woman but understood every word she uttered. Jimmy Tarbuck. Didn't like him at all, but understood every word. Countless others all with Liverpool accents. The Liverpool manager, Mr Klopp isn't from Liverpool. Isn't even English. But I can understand every single word he says. I can understand countless other foreign accents.

Why then......can I not understand a single word (well about one word in six) said by Jamie Carragher. My heart sinks when I see he is the pundit on a game. Why on earth do Sky persist with him. It's just a constant stream of unintelligible babble. Surely I'm not the only one.

ps - Leicester look poor.

Bournemouth need to win this home game or they're pretty much done.

Leicester look intent on throwing away Champions league football too.

You’d have thought that spitting incident would have ended his punditry career but no.

I reckon we could have fun against them at their place.

Our game will probably be the one that confirms it too. Maybe.

They will be gone by then. But I hope we are the ones to seal the deal.

Leicester slipping on their proverbial arses. Not like a team of Brendan's to throw it away when glory is within their grasp.

Apart from at Celtic where they were unchallenged during the domestic season.

Bournemouth completely and utterly shot.  Shame that they, Villa and Norwich are so crap that that it's virtually impossible for West Ham and Brighton to go down.

That is the pity yeah.

Where’s that tweet from that Bournemouth fan that said we’re not even in the same league as them?

He will be profoundly right in a couple of months time!

Wonder if AFCB will call for the cavalry and ditch Eddie. What's that blokes name in Sandbanks who specialises in rescue job ?

Probably a bit late for him, and a £60m rescue package without a transfer window to save them in.

Treated myself to a 4K TV just before Xmas and it’s made me realise how grim some of lot are. Watching the Hammers build up and Moyes looks like Hans Moleman.

Eddie Howe: was he ever all that?

How long ago were we wishing he was our? Wasn't he linked to Arsenal?

And England !

Problem is they have spent money on absolute dross. Solanke, Lurmer and Billing to name but three.

Bet Eddie is sorry he treated Defoe like shit and forced him out.
