Who woulda thought back at the end of October/beginning of November, that we would be safe with a few games to go and finishing 11th/12th??

Indeed....you'd have to be pretty mad to have thought that....

Ok, that is a good point. I lost focus in the epic battle for 11th!

It's all about 11th place brother. Stick with me on this. Besides, if all goes to plan, plucky little Bournemouth will still be relegated whilst we also parade the 11th place trophy around the streets and boulevards of Southampton.

If the Watford owners were hoping for a bounce by sacking Pearson they’ve made a big mistake!! Goal difference wipes out with 20 minutes and a match with Arsenal still to go.

Villa could sneak this on the last day...

Why does that cockwomble on sky keep going on about Boscombe having scored more goals than Watford? It doesn’t make a blind bit of difference, Boscombe & Watford  can’t finish level on points & goal difference.

Baffling - I thought, and had been told, that it’s all about having something to play for.

Staggeting  how City beat Watford.

True, but Villa could finish level with either on both points and GD.

Don't think Arsenal can be arsed in this match so if Villa win they'll only need a point at West Ham and Bmuff can't catch them. Would be angry at Gunners lack of effort if I was a Cherries fan.

You know, the best thing about this game as Saints fans is knowing EXACTLY what the Villa fans will be feeling.

This is turning out to be an amazing relegation battle.

Figured this would be fun to watch and relax, no stress but I’m really investing in Villa surviving. Getting nervous now, must be a reflex. Lol.

edit: should be 2-0, really poor effort from Davis.

Watching this game and am reminded what the hell happened to Calum Chambers. Then saw he has a knee injury.

Six years at Arsenal and he's barely played a full season's worth of games.

We did well there.

Kinda hoping Villa stay up now. They'll still be awful next season anyway, which is useful for us.

We'll finish top 8 next season (you heard it here first! #madness) so Villa being awful next season will be of no consequence to us ;)

Hopefully the off season is spent figuring out how to win at home and also how to beat the likes of West Ham and Burnley.

Wow.

Certainly didn't expect Villa to be the ones clear after tonight's games.

It'd only take a 1-0 and a 2-0 on the final day for it to come down to goals scored!

There you go. Pathetic display from Arsenal. They couldn't muster a single shot on target against Villa. Says it all. Bmuff fans must be fuming.
