I blame the Government.

i was in the garage doing some pull up so yesterday, our garage is packed full of summer stuff at the moment, barbeque, pizza oven, outdoor tables and chairs, as i finished my third set came of the bar and turned and caught my ribs on the side of the pizza oven, it bloody hurt! why dont the government put warnings on pizza ovens that they are not to be stored in the winter close to areas for mid fitness level middle aged people to perform challenging work outs. Fucking Sunak, Their billionaire mates might have loads of room to store their summer garden appliances and do workouts in the same area but that doesn't apply to the rest of us.

The Government control the licence fee. Mad Nad froze it for 2 years, and now that is over it is set to rise.

We got one in lockdown, a pizza oven that is, not a government. Other shit in my garage that takes up room also includes two inflatable hot tubs, an electric patio heater, a roof box and my daughter's gear from Uni (she graduated in 2017) which hasn't moved for a number of years. Amazing how much stuff we accumulate, There's barely enough room for bikes.

I have run out of space in our bike shed - it only has 11 bikes in it.

Indeed, we moved house this time last year and cleared out a load of shit from the old garage but seem to have managed to fill the new one already

the pizza oven is a fantastic purchase though, pizza are too drawer and so quick to make I recommend

I have a Pizza oven for the BBQ and it's great.

The Pizzas actually come out looking like real pizzas.

They also cook very quickly.

Morning off today, and the radio is on..

After Woman's Hour

Lucy Worsley says her programme is "yes, a feminist take on..."

Changes to another Beeb station and it's Brian Cox talking about the failure of the patriarchy. I tune out .

Cat leaves my lap, and back it goes, to catch the end of Worsley, and it's the struggles of people of colour. The programme was apparently about women who have killed, not that you'd know from the signalling.

And now it's the news. Beeb choosing to say that as 2 of the 3 SNP candidates aren't super keen on the gender recognition bill, then it's a crisis to their power sharing. Not a peep about the blatant corruption swirling around the process which favours the remaining candidate. Or even the pitfalls of power sharing, giving small parties a ridiculous amount of power, they weren't elected to have.

I feel thoroughly indoctrinated for the rest of the day, thanks to the relentless, overcompensating worthiness of the Beeb.

Bastards are stopping Outside Source on BBC News channel and don’t seem to be replacing it with anything except the usual rolling news service. That and Newsnight are the only things I watch on BBC now (and Newsnight can’t hold onto any decent presenters) .

This is just the beginning as they are locked into an outdated funding system that 1000s every year are switching off

Turned on Radio 2 in car earlier. They were having a phone in with uninformed morons and having that colossal twat Farage defending Trump and spouting his bs.  Are they trying to compete with LBC?  Don’t know if representative of the station now but didn’t expect such low brow bollocks

I still think the BBC is a national treasure and well worth the Licence Fee.

That said I happened to catch 'The One Show' a day or so back and witnessed Prince Andrew's ex wife and current hanger on, obtain free publicity and a good arse licking

from Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas.

I hope that those people at the BBC who authorised this nonsense are ashamed of themselves and Fergies performance will not encourage anyone with an ounce of sense to buy her ghost written book.

I take it that the "arse licking" was metaphorical.

The one show is probably the biggest pile of pony I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch. I think I’d rather be stuck on a desert island with Soggy than have to go through that again. It’s like a pound shop “Houseparty”, so inoffensive it’s positively  offensive.

Vaughan get's suspended from the Beeb for simply being accused of racism. Lineker get's an apology and is straight back in front of our screens. The cricket authorities and the BBC. The former bringing us  Allen Stanford, the latter Jimmy Savile and they're the arbiters of moral behaviour?

The common denominator? Stephen fucking Fry and his ilk.

Now there was a programme. Southern Television at its finest. Loose Women for the 1970s. Sure they regularly had a nun on there.

So is the "common denominator" comic actors, members of comedy duos, TV panel show hosts, or celebrities who own Black Cabs ?

Only saw a bit of the Musk interview but the bit I did see was him doing the whole freedom of speech thing.  That's fair enough but interviewer should have pushed him on the misinformation a bit more - misinformation isn't a matter of opinion but about being factually incorrect.  This post-truth world does my nut in.

Doesn't 'freedom of speech' allow people to talk bollocks if they want to, even when it is factually incorrect?

I'm not sure - probably worth asking Alex Jones about that.

Didn't harm Trump in his election campaign.

Hasn't harmed religious preachers for hundreds of years either.

Not sure why it should suddenly be an issue just because what is being said isn't liked.

I didn't think Musk came across too bad, certainly not as bad as I thought he would.

All over the place when comes to misinformation and hate speech though, why doesn't he just admit that if you want 'freedom of speech' you have to allow both.

If it's Gary Lineker I think you might explode.

Best case scenario for the BBC is it's Louis Theroux - he can interview himself then.

Okay, let’s all just be careful not to get into potentially libellous territory here.

Actually, now I’ve said that, I haven’t seen Shep for a few days…
