Lighthouse Posted 1 May, 2020 Share Posted 1 May, 2020 It really wasn’t all that great to a neutral. We beat Leicester and Wimbledon, who were hardly Galacticos, then just needed to match Charlton’s result in the last game.
Colinjb Posted 1 May, 2020 Share Posted 1 May, 2020 The correct answer is Fulham. Surprised Coventry and Everton in the 90's didn't get a mention mind.
Lets B Avenue Posted 1 May, 2020 Share Posted 1 May, 2020 The correct answer is Fulham. Surprised Coventry and Everton in the 90's didn't get a mention mind. They showed the Everton one a couple of weeks ago. Wrighty's choice of game. It was only due to a bent goalie.

aintforever Posted 1 May, 2020 Share Posted 1 May, 2020 95/96 was a better escape for us in my book. https://www.premierleague.com/video/single/626001 I would have said that as well. Think we stayed up by one goal.
aintforever Posted 1 May, 2020 Share Posted 1 May, 2020 The best bit about the 95/96 great escape was that Man City had to better our result and some scouser in the crowd told Steve Lomas we were losing so he spent the last few minutes time wasting trying to hold on for a draw. Lord Duckhunter Posted 4 May, 2020 Share Posted 4 May, 2020 The Bally one stands out for me. Unforgettable goals, 4-5 at Norwich after 2 horrendous home results over Easter. Last day wasn’t as dramatic as others, but it was a great run in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kwsaint Posted 5 May, 2020 Share Posted 5 May, 2020 1998/99 for me. We were a long way adrift at Christmas and were in the bottom three virtually all season. Just checked. We got 13 points from the first 19 games and 28 from the second 19 games. Only got out of the bottom three after the Leicester win, with two games left. Home form in the second half of the season was superb, including coming from 3-1 down against Blackburn to grab a point which really swung it.
