Weston Super Saint Posted 12 April, 2020 Share Posted 12 April, 2020 The word 'legend' gets bandied about a lot, but I reckon it's a moniker that fits the bill for Sir Sterling.

Trader Posted 12 April, 2020 Share Posted 12 April, 2020 I notice that like the main BBC News website headline, you two can’t spell his name either. RIP Sir Stirling.

John Boy Saint Posted 13 April, 2020 Share Posted 13 April, 2020 Remember seeing him at a Coys historic racing day at Silverstone driving a couple of old Grand Prix cars. Seeing him coming down Vale from Stowe into Club old style racing helmet, googles, sawing away at the big steering wheel with my own eyes was a great moment. RIP Sir. rooney Posted 16 April, 2020 Share Posted 16 April, 2020 I was at the Goodwood meeting with my pal and our girlfriends when he crashed, but in those days we did not know what happened until we arrived home and heard the news. We had borrowed his Dad's car and it did not have a radio. Both of us subsequently married the girlfriends and we are all still together. So something good came of it,I think!
