Can probably dust off this thread and start adding a few new records soon...

Absolutely. Errors leading to goals is already in the bag. We’ll soon add the highest number of defeats, the lowest number of wins, and the lowest points total in PL history. Fantastic.

There can no better evidence for a system not working. It's totally nonsensical that they have this deluded conviction that this style of football will ever be effective at our level.

That is such a damning stat and damning for that style of football. With Pep starting to fade, hopefully the wannabes do. Martin won’t get another manager gig without totally reinventing himself.

Yeah he will. Someone will snap him up in the championship. Not a chance is he getting a bigger club than saints though.

Imagine being the club that holds the record highest defeat, record lowest point, record goals conceded and highest number of defeats, entirely possible we will be by the end of the season

most defeats in a season is 29, we can beat that

At least we can rework last season’s song :

“ 29 games we’re defeated….

Playing football the Martin *
way”

* could be Russball, or Lego way. Leave the fans on the day to decide

Have other EPL teams ever had as much as 52.8% possession and no shots either on or off target?

Possibly even none for that non-shooting achievement regardless of how much or how little possession.

Of course not. Having a shot means losing possession.

Fingers crossed - that would be pure perfection to hold all of those records at the same time.

First club to have a competitive match using flood lights.

The only team from the Southern League to reach 2 FA Cup finals and the last team from the Southern League to reach an FA Cup final!

Yes I was there and WALLY JUDD kicked off and became the first man to kick a ball under floodlights.

Two new records broken.” In fact, Southampton are the only team in Premier League history to go in at half-time trailing by a five-goal margin on multiple occasions.” courtesy of sky sports, and also “the first time spurs have ever scored 5 in the first half in the premier league”

These records are the only bonuses the team are able to get at the moment.
