Certainly buying players for £12m and selling them for £75m plus relegation not existing haven't materialised.

I think it's more that the political situation in China has changed. I'm not sure anyone can say with certainty that Gao had much control over the asset anyway. The purchase was very clearly for political reasons more than anything else.

The “law” in China changed part way through the purchase . GAO was then unable to use money from China to complete the deal as Xi declared that too much money was leaving the country so GAO then had to borrow money from a source outside China to buy Saints. After that is has been all downhill for GAO.....

And now the FA have withdrawn from the Chinese TV agreement the money appears to be drying up. However,the 'big' clubs will also suffer financially which ain't no bad thing considering the obscene amounts a couple of them are paying their players.

You mean the Chinese government don’t want to spend £200m on a football club so they can spend £20b turning the land around it into the European Las Vegas anymore? Who’s have thought it.....

As with all of these things they are notoriously fluid but I wouldn't be surprised to hear something mid/late October.

My sources tell me that there are some crafty interests in town. 
 

They may be looking to put the cheese on top of the burger soon.

How come everyone has sources? I haven't got any sources....but I would like to get hold of some. Can anyone tell me the best place to get some??

Robert Kraft rumoured to be interested in buying a team a few years ago. Doesn’t he own the Patriots as well?

Problem is when most people think of the Mayflower they think Plymouth rather than Southampton. Even though Plymouth was essentially a service station stop on a long drive.
