Lawrie Mac brought him ba k from Werder Bremen and he played 2 seasons for us, two of our best, we finished 6th and 8th. Great defender, sad to hear about his health.

Sad news. I remember him scoring a screamer for Stoke in our 4-3 win against them at The Dell not long after he left us. Quality player.

Seem to remember while he was with Saints we put out a team in the league that included 5 players who had captained England - struggle to put out a team with five English players now. A top, top class, proper central defender.
