He has shown signs of turning it around from intial dissapointment though, hope Bale can do the same.

I genuinely believe another year of first team football at Championship level would have seen him flourish quicker and be more physically prepared for the highest level. Andy_Porter Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 I'd have loved to see Theo stay but he has shown why he left. He's a massive part of the England and Arsenal setup and he's still only 19. Just because he wasn't in the Arsenal team from the off doesn't mean he wasn't progressing as a player. A year with the Arsenal reserves with their facilities has shown to be as good as if not better than a year our first team. He's gone from strength to strength up until his unfortunate shoulder injury.

Colinjb Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 he is 19 years old now..what did you expect..? its a fair question. I have stated what I believe, no doubt he is doing well now (well, when he gets back from injury) but he had the initial period of over intense media speculation and public expectation, had he avoided that I reckon, he would have been even stronger now at this point in his career. I respect that you dissagree with me, but I believe in my own opinion here.
Thedelldays Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 I bet the media still make excuses for arry... one thing that annoys me, when the press go on about his past and how good he is, it is almost like we dont exists...we have been erased from his CV... lol

keithd Posted 22 January, 2009 Share Posted 22 January, 2009 Tottenham manager Harry Redknappadmitted he was fearing the worst but insisted his side do deserve their place at Wembley. "I thought we were dead and buried," he told Sky Sports. "You're thinking 'what do we do?'. "But we showed character and we came back. I was disappointed (with the performance), of course. "Burnley were terrific, they showed great character, but we've had some great performances (in the Carling Cup), beating Liverpool, and we deserve to be there." OK. Really? How's that exactly then?
