We can’t expect to bring too many players in as we still have a huge wage bill and too many changes isn’t good because the team won’t gel and really would Goas advisors tell him to spend a lot as we’ve made some bad signings in the past, it isn’t a sustainable model to sign players for millions. Plus we don’t want to block the pathway for all our brilliant young players coming through. We’re probably best trying to shift some of the deadwood first and then we can see where we are in January.

I expect we'll look to clear out deadwood such as JWP, Ings, Hojbjerg, Redmond, Bednarek and Bertrand to make room in the squad for players returning from their successful loans.

 

There's no way we could sign anyone as we've not made enough of a profit in the January window.
