St Chalet Posted 25 January, 2020 Author Posted 25 January, 2020 How has that not been reviewed. Disgraceful. Our boys need to get better at surrounding the ref.
obelisk Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 When Ings misses a sitter you know it's not going to happen.
washsaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Just not Saints day. VAR has been Spurs 12th man today
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Ings, free header centre of box. I guess he’s gone off the boil a bit. ****!
nta786 Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Ings should have buried that header!!! I feel Long would have scored that
BotleySaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Can't say we've not had the chances. Some ridiculous decisions from the ref but we should have put one of them away. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
shurlock Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Did Ings touch it with his hand before they did? Couldn’t see it clearly.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Not our day. Ings misfiring, Armstrong injured, VAR corrupted.
Mattio Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Did Ings touch it with his hand before they did? Couldn’t see it clearly. No, span past it
adrian lord Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Boooooooouuufaaaaaal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jimmy_D Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Gerrrrrin! Been a good game of football, looked like it wasn't our day but we deserve that!
benjii Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Did Ings touch it with his hand before they did? Couldn’t see it clearly. I think it hit his chest but seeing as VAR didn't bother reviewing it wasn't conclusive. Bizarre that there was no review
adrian lord Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Brilliant game from Ralph Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
nta786 Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Spurs and their players can f*** off, the way Alderweireld and co hound the referee- can tell it is the Mourinho imprint
Ohio Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 So, this is where we go on to win the cup!
benjii Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Spurs and their players can f*** off, the way Alderweireld and co hound the referee- can tell it is the Mourinho imprint We should be better at it though. If JWP goes down midweek then Zaha has to walk. And god knows why we didn't go mad for that handball.
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Brilliant goal. When he scores them, he does it in style. Now get a late winner please. Last thing we need is a replay.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Bednarek won the ball there. If anything Son was leaning in?
Batman Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 This ref is bad. its ref's like that I am thankful for VAR.
benjii Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 its ref's like that I am thankful for VAR. Unfortunately VAR was taking a dump when we had a pen appeal.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 1-1 final. Entertaining game but we were shafted by the very thing that was supposed to make the game fairer.
Ohio Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 So, we get "home" advantage for the replay
BotleySaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Enjoyed the game. Still amazed that we are competitive now. We actually look decent. After such a dire few years.. Its refreshing.
Disco Stu Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Safe to say we were the better side. Did well to avoid defeat despite the officials best efforts.
LGTL Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Scratch that: Oxford vs Newcastle it is. BT and BBC get one each I think so probably still a good chance.
SaintBobby Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 And we are better away from home, right? ;-)
CanadaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Given our away form we've got 'em where we want 'em. Moss is so incompetent. He can't even keep up with the game when he gets to watch it on the VAR screen.
washsaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Draw was a fair result - very evenly matched teams - but VAR leaves a bad taste in the mouth
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Screwed over by VAR today. Blatant foul in the buildup to their goal leaving Son a free shot on goal, and missed that blatant handball. I really hope we never have to see Danso at RB again. He unsettled the whole defence. We looked much more organised when he went off, despite other players having to switch to an unnatural position. Redmond had another good game. Hope the Armstrong injury isn't too bad.
meatball Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 tbh I don’t think it makes a difference foul or not- Son was wide open on that far side. Unfortunately Danso has not put in a good audition today. I also hate it when teams shoot towards the away end 2nd half- think we should try our best to swap the direction we shoot in second half where possible. That worked well against Leicester. S-Clarke Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 I thought we palyed really well today, looked a threat and got a well deserved goal. Struggling to work out what Danso is to be honest, he has not taken his chances at all. Looked rubbish. JWP full of energy, Armstrong I thought was buzzing around - so I hope that injury isn't too bad. Ings should have done better with that header at the end, he looked ****ed with himself. Overall, we're still in the hat...! Good performance and we look a pretty decent side now days.
Charlie Wayman Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 We should be better at it though. If JWP goes down midweek then Zaha has to walk. And god knows why we didn't go mad for that handball. Because Hasenhuttl items are respectful, fair and play to the whistle. Nothing wrong with that.
Appy Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Ticket allocation will be interesting. It’ll be a week on Wednesday I expect as Spurs play next Sunday.
mcbendy Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Phew. Looked much better once Danso was off. No thanks to the ref or Daniel Levy in the VAR booth...
Charlie Wayman Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Boufal is obviously not enjoying his time here at the moment. Didn't really bother to celebrate his goal. Guess he'll be heading off in the summer. Pity, we'll miss him.
mcbendy Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Doh... Match thread has been renamed... Delete this one!
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Good cup tie that, didn't deserve to lose but a draw is about right Our away form means we have no fear at their place
