Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Our worst fears. Armstrong not rested and if that is a hammy he’ll be out for a month at least. Like the taters said, it looked like it was something the physios were aware of before the game, as he was wearing lycra shorts to keep the muscles warm. He didn't look to be walking too gingerly as he left the pitch, so hopefully it's just a precautionary sub and the injury isn't too serious.
SaintRobbie Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 http://tutto-live.com/game/match/4363/Southampton-vs-Tottenham.html Can’t seem to get that stream going. Anyone any others?
simo Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Today's scapegoat ? Has he played centre back for us yet ?

Manuel Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Also been complaining about Danso for much of the half. Doubt Ralph will change anything though, hopefully he'll have a better second...

If they knew about it then it was a bit of a foolish gamble. He’s really got us ticking nicely in recent weeks. Hindsight obviously 20/20 but maybe he shouldn’t have been risked.
qwertyell Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 It's bizarre how much of a well oiled machine we are on the road while we continue to struggle to find the right set up at home. Spurs are killing us in transition. Just like Wolves did. And West Ham before them. It's only a matter of time before they make one of their breaks count. Not sure Obafemi is contributing much. Perhaps get Romeu on to sit in a midfield three and allow the wingers to push higher in support of Ings. Game's still there for the winning - thanks, Gunny - but not if we carry on on the same path. Charlie Wayman Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Cedric now Armstrong. That's our right side sorted. Whose turn next? We can't get through their lines this afternoon and we are wide open at the back. Jose will send out a different team after the break, watch for the long balls down the channels to their fast runners to stretch us.
stevy777_x Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Based on first half Danso is not a right back. Would rather have Stephens there and Danso in the center. At least you get to judge him in his natural position. Or maybe Ralph doesn t trust him there in which case you might as well send him back.
stknowle Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 We look the better team but keep getting BADLY exposed on the counter. It's like watching a Pellegrino team defending it's own corners. Should be 2-0 down.

NewYorkSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 The authority of JWP these days is pretty amazing. He's had a great half. I thought Obafemi pretty exciting. Will be curious to see if Djen comes through 2nd half. on his day, the boy is incredible. And Redmond! fantastic half from him.
Convict Colony Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Not really interested in excuses for him, he just hasn't looked very good when he's played. Nerves that show that clearly aren't a good thing and plenty of younger players than him have coped with it just fine. He's just showing exactly why Ralph hasn't played him until he has to.Name me 1 player who every now and again plays in a completely different position that they were recruited for? He's doing a job and is a young guy whose played CB marking lewodanski etc and did ok. I'm all for judging people but be fair.

File him away alongside Scott Marshall, Jakobsson and Davenport.

I'm all for judging people but be fair. you cant. because most other players are good enough to play or even step in to cover the position they were recruited for. Danso is clearly another one on the bedpost of shyt signings....
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 I'm really liking the new look, in-form Nathan Redmond. Having another good game today and by far our most dangerous attacker.

Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Hmmm. Terrible attempt at a tackle from Danso. I'm starting to think we would be better off moving JWP to RB now and getting Romeu on. Danso is a liability.
Mr X Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Danso clearly.not good enough for this level Sent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Ings prods wide from Obafemi’s cutback. So close, great move.
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Commentator: "Both sets of fans have their own words for this particular song". No. Just no. Spurs have their own words for it, whereas we sing the original.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Ings is crap, get rid Flashback to August 2019 when we were repeatedly told in no uncertain terms just how shockingly bad Ings was and that we’d been mugged off by Liverpool.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Alli took Danso out of the play. Shouldn’t count but they will side with Spurs.
washsaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 VAR is a f***** joke. How the f*** was that called as a foul in the buildup?
obelisk Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 It'd be a foul if it had been a Saints attack.
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Absolute nonsense. A clear foul gives them a man over.
Bad Wolf Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Perfectly good goal. Ridiculous that it took so long to give that.
Sheaf Saint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Utter boll*x that. He blatantly bundled him over. How can you review that and decide it wasn't a foul FFS!?
OttawaSaint Posted 25 January, 2020 Posted 25 January, 2020 Thought that was what VAR is for. A clear foul. Cheats!
