angelman Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Excellent win and clean sheet. Should have been more... but 3 points is 3 points
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2020 Author Posted 21 January, 2020 If we'd won all our games we'd be top Really?!! Hadn't thought of that at all. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

VectisSaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 A late equaliser for Newcstle would be nice As I was saying
Wes Tender Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Fantastic performance. A clean sheet, despite missing Bednarek and having Vestergaard on. Armstrong MOTM, but Redmond also good on the opposite flank and both of them on the score sheet. There were other chances to have scored a couple more goals, especially for Long and Obafemi. Into the top ten.
hypochondriac Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 That was superb. Jwp motm for me but a few of them could have had it.
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2020 Author Posted 21 January, 2020 As I said, my match thread starts have a good record. Anyone left on the opposition thread? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

VectisSaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 If we'd won all our games we'd be top But Liverpool would have 2 games in hand
BotleySaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Superb performance. Hit them hard throughout and never let up. Deserved more goals. Sent from my SM-A405FN using Tapatalk
Leslie Charteris Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 As may wins so far as the whole of last season! 9th currently?
SKD Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 When do we stop looking at results down the table and start looking at those above us?
jasonb Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 http://cyclingentertainment.stream/events/2020/crystal-palace-vs-southampton/ Thanks for excellent link mush!
whelk Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Absolutely superb performance from everyone. Completely outclassed them
igsey Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Brilliant performance, Stephens, JWP, Bertrand, Armstrong, Redmond and Romeu excellent. Hojbjerg quietly very good too, Long and Oba did their jobs and I could've done McCarthy's! Not sure who put in a worse performance tonight, the ref or Zaha. Amazing that we're 3 points behind Utd and Wolves, level with Spurs and 2 ahead of the A*se!
Batman Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 When do we stop looking at results down the table and start looking at those above us? when we are bottom
OttawaSaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 YOU JUST KNEW we'd lose that after going 2-0 up... Baked beans from the can tonight for Glesga!
angelman Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 As may wins so far as the whole of last season! 9th currently? Who'd a thought it. After the West Hame/Everton games......I thought we were doomed. What do I know about football??
Wade Garrett Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 JWP had Zaha in his pocket. Made him look amateur.

Jonnyboy Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Ralph giving Redders a big hug and lift. Motm for me, goal and assist. Palace couldn't deal with him.
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2020 Author Posted 21 January, 2020 As may wins so far as the whole of last season! 9th currently?Yep. Amazing. [emoji3][emoji3] Going to celebrate classily with a cheeky Beaujolais Cru - Brouilly. [emoji485][emoji3][emoji106] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
trousers Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Top 10 squad? "Madness" © Saintsweb Intelligentsia
Wade Garrett Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Redmond was outstanding. Had their whole defence in his pocket.
angelman Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Might not happen, but when was the last time we finished above Arsenal? 1983/4?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Wow, wow , wow. Incredible performance and to see out the game like that after the Wolves wobble says much about how Ralph has galvanised the team. Armstrong my MOTM - was everywhere...bossed midfield and gave us an extra strike presence. Special shout for JWP also...he did very well at RB.
Greenridge Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 YOU JUST KNEW we'd lose that after going 2-0 up... Baked beans from the can tonight for Glesga! Obsessed. More irritating than the poster you keep trolling. Try enjoying the win.
Baird of the land Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Fair play to vestergaard, got past that horror show moment and made some key blocks. Great team performance. Loved Redmond getting that goal. Don’t understand the stick he gets as he puts so much work in for the team.
Wade Garrett Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Tactical masterclass from Ralph. Had Woy in his pocket.
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2020 Author Posted 21 January, 2020 Did someone say the squad is thin and weak? Need new players? On this form, we can give Liverpool something to think about. And dump Spurs. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Dan Johnson Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 JWP was incredible tonight, absolutely immense!!
Sheaf Saint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 I had a sneaky feeling we might get something tonight so I had us for a win in my accy, and only Bournemouth beating Brighton let me down. Superb performance throughout the whole team, even Vestergaard played well. JWP did a right number on Zaha, again! Surprised he kept his cool and stayed on the pitch really. If Hojbjerg could play like that every game then he would be the player we all hoped he would be when he signed. Makes you wonder why his passing is usually so poor when it was really good tonight. I'm gonna give my MOTM to Redmond. A goal and an assist, doing really well for each, and he was a constant threat to the Palace back line.
ButtikonSaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 all gladiators tonight... including the away fans... That's about as good as we've had it for 3 years... (bar the 4-0) Really proud COYR
stknowle Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Question: Does anyone know the difference between A/ A match build up thread B/ A match thread C/ A match reaction thread. On tonight's evidence the mods don't WTF am I paying my fiver for if indeed I am still paying it. Anyway. What a superb performance. We are going to properly batter someone soon if we keep this form up.

OttawaSaint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Obsessed. More irritating than the poster you keep trolling. Try enjoying the win. Doubt it. Loving the win. I'm sure you and your "happy to be proven wrong" brethren are seething though. Oh well, can't please everyone.
CB Fry Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Absolutely, comprehensively, unquestionably not getting relegated. Astonishing stuff when we look back to the autumn. Vestergaard very lucky. If wed gone one down as we should have, it could been a different game.
Micky Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 (edited) we are 3 points off 6th!!!!!!!!!!We'll be getting those 3 points next weekend at Anfield. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk Edited 21 January, 2020 by Micky
Sheaf Saint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Question: Does anyone know the difference between A/ A match build up thread B/ A match thread C/ A match reaction thread. On tonight's evidence the mods don't WTF am I paying my fiver for if indeed I am still paying it. There seems to be only one mod who's ever on here regularly these days, so we can't expect him to do everything himself. When I visit other forums they all seem to have just one thread for each game - build-up, in-play and reaction. It seems this is about the only one where we have to have separate ones.

I’m 100% sure I’ve never ever made that statement but feel free to just make things up if it makes you feel better.
suewhistle Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 How many corners did Palace get? How many shots on target? That was a whole squad performance tonight but a shout out for the defence too.
Toadhall Saint Posted 21 January, 2020 Posted 21 January, 2020 Absolutely superb performance from everyone. Completely outclassed them Sums it up perfectly for me.
