Disco Stu Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 I thought he played out of his skin today. If he keeps putting in performances like that, we should be tying him down with a new contract.
austsaint Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 I thought he played out of his skin today. If he keeps putting in performances like that, we should be tying him down with a new contract. He was superb - right back to his best. Hope he re-signs.
niceandfriendly Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Has been really good for two or three games. Ceddy the Sou is back!
Saint_clark Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Been brilliant recently. However his mind is clearly made up and he'll be leaving in the summer, with hopefully no hard feelings from us. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Bad Wolf Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 5 years and he's finally had a great game. Brilliant.
benjii Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 Yeah, he was very good today. Needs to play well to get a decent move, I guess! That's the system working.
Nordic Saint Posted 11 January, 2020 Posted 11 January, 2020 He's got his mojo back. The great team spirit is lifting the game of every player.
spyinthesky Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 I agree. However both he and Valery were adversely affected by the system of play we had until recently where the right back position was cruelly exposed by lack of cover in front of them. Introducing Armstrong into the side has greatly improved the balance
OttawaSaint Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 He was superb - right back to his best. Hope he re-signs. I see what you did there...
jamesa Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 I thought he had his best game of the season on Saturday, he was excellent along with the whole team bar PEH. Even though he played well we still need competition at right and left back and I'm sure Cedric will be off in a free in the Summer and I would make RB a priority this window and not just a loan, but the long term RB option.
skintsaint Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 Too little too late, hope he keeps form until the end of the season though. Get Max Aarons in when Norwich go down as a replacement.

Too little too late? He's played well for the last month. The form of both fullbacks is a big factor in the good run of form.
Manuel Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 I've never been particularly dissatisfied until I saw him play on the left ffs! I would be very happy to see another season of Cedric.
Jonnyboy Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 He played well at the beginning of the season too before his injury.
DuncanRG Posted 13 January, 2020 Posted 13 January, 2020 Too little too late, hope he keeps form until the end of the season though. Get Max Aarons in when Norwich go down as a replacement. I doubt we'd get him. Dortmund, Spurs, Leipzig and Arsenal are being mentioned.
Greenridge Posted 15 January, 2020 Posted 15 January, 2020 Decent interview with Cedric in The DE https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/18159409.southamptons-cedric-opens-leaving-club-ralph-hasenhuttl/
benjii Posted 15 January, 2020 Posted 15 January, 2020 "punctuation" - is that really what they mean?
VectisSaint Posted 15 January, 2020 Posted 15 January, 2020 "punctuation" - is that really what they mean? No, they meant punctuality and have since corrected it. Not much proof reading done these days by Journos, publish first, sometimes check it later.
Saint_clark Posted 15 January, 2020 Posted 15 January, 2020 Personally I think his minds made up that he wants to move and only an offer far above what he's actually worth will keep him here. Bid farewell with no hard feelings and best of luck to him. Time to rebuild. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Manuel Posted 15 January, 2020 Posted 15 January, 2020 If his demands aren't unreasonable it might be better the devil you know. Knows the system, seems to be enjoying it now.
