I don't think it helps our attack having both Boufal and Redmond in the same side. Both not very good at defending. But more importantly, both have no idea when to release the ball. There is room for one of those style players in our team as they could open up the opposition. But I dont think room for both, especially when we have 2 strikers who need to be fed. The issue is Djenepo on the bench is the same as Redmond and Boufal and will hog the ball.

I would be tempted to try either Djenepo or Boufal upfront in hope they run central with the ball to open things up thats what we miss really.

Warned about this in the pre match

All the "lessons learned" & we march on chat from players and managers.

Was always teeing up a lazy, same old SFC performance

Lol.

It’s not been lazy at all. Just lacking a bit of quality in and around the box.

Need to stop the long balls, long crosses. They are being dealt with easily by their defenders. Keep the ball down and work it into the box. Create some space etc.

Did I hear that right - Adams only had two shots on target in all his time at Saints?
Not really worked out for him here so far. Been given a good chance today but done nothing of note.

Boufal a bit of a passenger at the moment. Armstrong on please or for Redders

Finally he realises the difference Armstrong might bring. Redmond still terrible

Well Gao, take heed we still need players in Jan, and while you're at it get that white witch to cast another spell at St. Mary's

Romeu on now for Redmond (if we can). Personally happy with the point here. Slow it down.

Hilarious defending. Palace knocking it across the back until their defender decides to play a slide rule pass to Ings 20 yards from goal

We seem to get far too few attackers in good areas at home. No composure in the final third at all. The St Mary's disease still with us.

because without creativity through the center its hard to unlock defences with a high line, away from home teams like to attack infront of home fans so the home team is always up against the counter attack. We need a better central midfielder who can create something or an attacker with pace and flair to run with the ball like Mane did for us.
