markr27 Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Does anyone know the title of the instrumental song played just after the light show last night? Was asked the Q at the time but was blank, and was asked again and again this morning! End my suffering!

Shropshire Saint Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 And I used to moan about the Albion Band......
Pamplemousse Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Hate me now by Nas. Not a fan of it, bring back The Saints Are Coming
benjii Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Anyway, are we talking about that awful programmed drum loop with the string sample over it? It’s ****ing terrible. Not rousing in the least. If they must play music at that moment then it’s a terrible choice. Obviously they should play something when the players emerge then either shut the **** up or play something the crowd can sing along to.
davefoggy Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 I actually quite like it. Wish it were louder
bpsaint Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Pretty sure it was the drum beat of Love Runs Out by One Republic. ****ing light show is a farce, drowned out the itchen corner who were trying to get an actual bit of atmosphere going
kwsaint Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 I have a decibel meter app on my phone. The PA system before the game is around 80db. Much louder and they will have to start issuing ear protectors to the crowd. Club has clearly employed someone who is used to producing light and sound shows for concerts, but who has no understanding of what most of the crowd actually want. I like to be able to talk to the people that I have gone with before a game, so the volume needs to go down a bit. Personally I would like to go back to the team coming out to OWTS - as that would build the atmosphere far better than being deafened by random noise.

I also hate this Premier League business of walking out and shaking hands. Much better when they used to run out onto the pitch kicking some footballs in front of them.
Patrick Bateman Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Nothing like a repetitive snare drum with repetitive drivel before a match ...

warsash saint Posted 5 December, 2019 Posted 5 December, 2019 Please someone change this awful, repetitive ear ache!! Most uninspired piece of music EVER!!!!!!
Hamwic Posted 6 December, 2019 Posted 6 December, 2019 Anyone contacted the club to tell them and, if so, what was their response?
Soton7 Posted 6 December, 2019 Posted 6 December, 2019 Great memories from this song. Puff Daddy and Nas. They had a falling out over the video to this with Nas being tied to the Cross symbolising Jesus. It always makes me chuckle... why have Saints picked this hip hop song considering we’re a family ‘soft’ club and you see overweight Saints fans bopping to this song in their Saints colours!
markr27 Posted 6 December, 2019 Author Posted 6 December, 2019 Thanks chaps for the responses. I have been informed that the Love Runs Out instrumental was the right tune! I think the Hate Me Now is played at most Premier League grounds as both sets of players shakes hands etc.?
ringwood Posted 6 December, 2019 Posted 6 December, 2019 why can't they record the crowd singing OWTS and then actually play that back as the team comes out ? then as crowd reacts they can blend it out then we wouldn't be competing with the music but actully be the music
Daft Kerplunk Posted 7 December, 2019 Posted 7 December, 2019 Thanks chaps for the responses. I have been informed that the Love Runs Out instrumental was the right tune! I think the Hate Me Now is played at most Premier League grounds as both sets of players shakes hands etc.? Hate me now instrumental is 100% what the players come out to. The music when the players shake hands is the Premier League anthem.
marc_saint Posted 7 December, 2019 Posted 7 December, 2019 Shame we couldn't hear the half time interviews due to the sound being too low. Wouldn't have minded hearing what Chaplow and Oakley had to say
