saintwbu Posted 4 December, 2019 Posted 4 December, 2019 Romeu has been decent this season imo. None of our three CM’s compliment each other, that’s the wider issue. Dropping any of them would probably have improved us, all 3 of them together was a hindrance.

In fairness, suspect Boufal or Armstrong would have started if either had been fully fit. It's good news Boufal has at least made the bench again. I wouldn't trust Long to score from 1 yard out in the center of the goal, he'd somehow shin it over or scuff it wide.

He is a pest against defenders and personally I’d have him ahead of Obafemi.Exactly, Long can cause mistakes in the backline (which Ings has scored multiple goals from this season), win us plenty of freekicks (which JWP has scored from), and also wins a lot of balls in the air whilst also getting himself plenty of chances which law of averages says he will score from eventually!
