Saint_clark Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Just read through the entire thread. Very interesting indeed. I hope Lowe has to answer to this at some point....
ottery st mary Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Apart from FF, I think there will be a few books written about 2008/9 and all this experimentation side of our History......Almost like returning to the swinging sixties without the drugs. Or maybe Kim is the main man in our next money making venture.
lordswoodsaints Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Right area of the ground but alas....the picture with Lowe and this chap was taken an hour or so before the game.... well,we've cleared up one thing.......santa's summer job.:-)
Scummer Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 According to my source he is NOT a "registered agent" in Holland. Would the agent of a manager need to be registered? I'd have thought that would only apply to players' agents.
lordswoodsaints Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Would the agent of a manager need to be registered? I'd have thought that would only apply to players' agents. i dont think he is an agent,i thought he was when i first met him but at the osbourne fans forum he seemed to be directing the show,he was basically telling the 2 players and the managment team what to do etc but all the time staying out of the limelight................if anything i would say that he was somehow involved with pr/marketing/propaganda side of things,i say this because he took my dads phone number (he was the dj/compere) and said that he may get him involved in more of the get togethers........i could be wrong as he did seem a bit of a mysterious/weird character????
Norm Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 I've been unable to go for a pee for the past 24 hours! I'm sat here at my PC, wondering what next? This is far better than that spy book I was reading. I'm just waiting for Arnie (" I'll be back") to appear in this somewhere:) Offix, get your finger out and report back to us at base camp!

Dunno about Arnie. Think what we need right now is John Wayne leading the 7th cavalry in.

The plot thickens. Assuming Lowe is using him as a PR advisor, he's not doing a good job there either really! Lowe describes him as an 'advisor'.mmmmmmm... God this is interesting.

His name in the article is Kim Van Der Waals unless the writer got it wrong we have nothing else to go by unless of course this is not his real name.

SaintRobbie Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 So you spotted the subliminal message in that Dutch article by reading the first letter in every line too? Nice one LOL! I'm glad many of the posters on here have a sense of humour still... its the only thing keeping us going. Funny isnt it? There seems to be less arguing on the messageboard than I have seen for possibly years, there seems to be far more humour... in adversity and all that!

Alright Dave Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 This is just a thought, but is it possible he is Flemish or Afrikaans and not Dutch?
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 This is just a thought, but is it possible he is Flemish or Afrikaans and not Dutch? If that was true, how does it make it any easier to ID him?
bridge too far Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 If that was true, how does it make it any easier to ID him? Flemish people have bars across their faces. HTH
Alright Dave Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Well it seems everyone is looking towards Holland for info. If he is from BE or ZA then its no suprise they aren't finding anything. Anyway, as i said just a thought.
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Has someone got one of those computer programs that they use on CSI? The one that instantly puts a name to a face when you type in "tell me who this is please?". Cheers
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 ...or, alternatively, just phone up SMS reception and ask to speak to the chap? Putting on a Rupert Lowe accent may help.
skintsaint Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Kim van der Kuntz all of them... That is all

Scudamore Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Note to self. Must read whole thread  If you could give me a brief summation when you've finished. I suspect if i take the effort to actually read it i will just be annoyed at myself for wasting my time...
Big Bad Bob Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 If you could give me a brief summation when you've finished. I suspect if i take the effort to actually read it i will just be annoyed at myself for wasting my time... Rupert may or may not have an 'assistant' who may or may not be called Kim van der Waals, he may or may not be our DoF! No one knows or can find anything about him.

Rem Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Goodness. The number of Dutch at St Mary's are multiplying. How many Dutchmen does it take to......... (fill in the rest yourself) .....win a game at SMS? Answer: No one knows, it's been so long since it happened.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Could some1 please summarise this thread?
Channon's Sideburns Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Could some1 please summarise this thread? It seems as if Rupey has a new 'right hand' This guy was mentioned in an article in a Dutch Football Mag, and appears intrenched at St Marys as some sort of adviser. He apparently is regularly at Staplewood, and according to the article, in love with himself, and not universally liked. He has also been shown regularly in the Directors Box alongside Wotte. Whether or not he is the reason Hockaday is on gardening leave remains to be seen. BTW, have also now emailed the Echo regarding this.
ladysaint Posted 22 January, 2009 Author Posted 22 January, 2009 Be interested to see the response if you do get one from the echo, I still cant believe that this person has not come to light before now.

Rupert does like his "gurus".
Saint Martini Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Could some1 please summarise this thread? RL is being advised on football matters by some Dutch football nobody who is full of himself. As for the questions about his name. The Dutch article says Kim van der Waals and it also says he is Dutch. I have no reason to doubt that this information is correct.

But its Ok because JP, Wotte, Gorre and the new DOF are being paid less than Nigel and Hockaday would of cost.
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Good summary How can you tell it's a good summary if you haven't read the whole thread? He could have made his summary up just for comical effect....
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 This is just a thought, but is it possible he is Flemish or Afrikaans and not Dutch? Wallonian....
trousers Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 (edited) Isn't that Walloon? Walloon (Waals in English) is the language. Wallonia is the region where it's spoken. Thus, a Wallonian is someone who comes from Wallonia. Just need to work out where the 'loon' fits into all this.... Edited 22 January, 2009 by trousers
Alright Dave Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Walloon (Waals in English) is the language. Wallonia is the region where it's spoken. Thus, a Wallonian is someone who comes from Wallonia. Just need to work out where the 'loon' fits into all this.... Accept Wallonia is the French speaking part in the south of Belgium and Vlaanderen being the Flemish (Dutch) speaking northern part of Belgium
offix Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 No news to report from my further investigations. The writer has not responded to my email. We still don't know who Van Der Waals is, and even if he were Belgian or Afrikaans (unlikely, as those accents are very recognizable and thick, even in Dutch, and it would have been mentioned in the article) there still remains the fact that he does not have a single Google reference anywhere.
offix Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 You guys quote an Echo story http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4066097.One_fan_s_despair_for_club_he_loves/ but I don't see any reference to the Van Der Waals story in there?
Alright Dave Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 People mention it in the readers comments under the article. Basically asking the echo to do their job and find out who he is and what he is doing at Saints
