Would the agent of a manager need to be registered? I'd have thought that would only apply to players' agents.

i dont think he is an agent,i thought he was when i first met him but at the osbourne fans forum he seemed to be directing the show,he was basically telling the 2 players and the managment team what to do etc but all the time staying out of the limelight................if anything i would say that he was somehow involved with pr/marketing/propaganda side of things,i say this because he took my dads phone number (he was the dj/compere) and said that he may get him involved in more of the get togethers........i could be wrong as he did seem a bit of a mysterious/weird character????

I've been unable to go for a pee for the past 24 hours! I'm sat here at my PC, wondering what next? This is far better than that spy book I was reading. I'm just waiting for Arnie (" I'll be back") to appear in this somewhere:)

Offix, get your finger out and report back to us at base camp!

Dunno about Arnie. Think what we need right now is John Wayne leading the 7th cavalry in.

The plot thickens. Assuming Lowe is using him as a PR advisor, he's not doing a good job there either really!

Lowe describes him as an 'advisor'.mmmmmmm...

God this is interesting.

Are we sure that is how his name is spelt (both forename and surname)?

Kim or Tim (as was hinted at the other day)

Van Der Waals or Van de Waals or Van Der Walles or Vandewalles?

It's spelt...

S......I....M.....O....N........C....L.....I.....F.....F.......O......R.........D.

If not it's written all over it!

His name in the article is Kim Van Der Waals unless the writer got it wrong we have nothing else to go by unless of course this is not his real name.

So you spotted the subliminal message in that Dutch article by reading the first letter in every line too? Nice one ;)

LOL! I'm glad many of the posters on here have a sense of humour still... its the only thing keeping us going. Funny isnt it? There seems to be less arguing on the messageboard than I have seen for possibly years, there seems to be far more humour... in adversity and all that! :)

...or, alternatively, just phone up SMS reception and ask to speak to the chap? Putting on a Rupert Lowe accent may help.

"What ho young secretary girl, its Lowe here, can you put one through to Kim please.... MICHAEL STOP SHOOTING THAT GUN, IM ON THE RUDDY PHONE! Sorry about that, is Mr Van Der Waals there? He might be Mr Van De Walles, Im not too sure."

If you could give me a brief summation when you've finished. I suspect if i take the effort to actually read it i will just be annoyed at myself for wasting my time...

Rupert may or may not have an 'assistant' who may or may not be called Kim van der Waals, he may or may not be our DoF!

No one knows or can find anything about him.

Sure, np.

Blah. Blah. How dare van der Waals advise Lowe to Goebbels. Blah.

HTH.

Goodness. The number of Dutch at St Mary's are multiplying. How many Dutchmen does it take to.........

(fill in the rest yourself)

.....win a game at SMS? Answer: No one knows, it's been so long since it happened.

Could some1 please summarise this thread?

It seems as if Rupey has a new 'right hand' ;)

This guy was mentioned in an article in a Dutch Football Mag, and appears intrenched at St Marys as some sort of adviser. He apparently is regularly at Staplewood, and according to the article, in love with himself, and not universally liked. He has also been shown regularly in the Directors Box alongside Wotte.

Whether or not he is the reason Hockaday is on gardening leave remains to be seen.

BTW, have also now emailed the Echo regarding this.

Simon Clifford MKII from the sounds of it. Rupert does like his "gurus".

RL is being advised on football matters by some Dutch football nobody who is full of himself.

As for the questions about his name. The Dutch article says Kim van der Waals and it also says he is Dutch. I have no reason to doubt that this information is correct.

But its Ok because JP, Wotte, Gorre and the new DOF are being paid less than Nigel and Hockaday would of cost.

Isn't that Walloon?

Walloon (Waals in English) is the language.

Wallonia is the region where it's spoken.

Thus, a Wallonian is someone who comes from Wallonia.

Just need to work out where the 'loon' fits into all this.... ;)

Accept Wallonia is the French speaking part in the south of Belgium and Vlaanderen being the Flemish (Dutch) speaking northern part of Belgium :)

No news to report from my further investigations.

The writer has not responded to my email. We still don't know who Van Der Waals is, and even if he were Belgian or Afrikaans (unlikely, as those accents are very recognizable and thick, even in Dutch, and it would have been mentioned in the article) there still remains the fact that he does not have a single Google reference anywhere.
