Fowllyd Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 It seems then that if we're on the lookout for a Rasputin to Lowe's Nikolai, we need look no further. Or a Cheney to Lowe's Dubya, come to that... Is it just me, or does it all just get ever gloomier and grimmer?

offix Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Do we know who wrote this? Its pretty damning if true. Waals = Lowe's rotweiler. This is really quite scarey... would certainly explain why our team is so disjointed and misled and has such low morale. This is very very worrying. Surely this has to be rubbish... even I dont believe we could be operating in such a way. Voetbal International is the MOST RESPECTED football magazine and web site in Holland. The article i received does not specify the writer's name, but I think it is safe to assume that this article is pretty accurate (although it provides the personal view and opinions of the writer) if it was allwoed to be published in this magazine. It was issue 51 of 2008.

um pahars Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Kim doesnt sound a very nice guy wonder if he is behind Hockaday being on gardening leave. I heard he was and I also heard he was despised at St Mary's and Staplewood. You only have to read that quote: He describes a scene where Van Der Waals walks on to the training field, takes a ball and starts to kick the ball around, showing of to others, saying "look how good I am". The writer continues: “He seems to irritate a lot of people on the field, but strangely enough nobody says anything, not even Wotte” It doesn't sound like a happy, functioning football club to me. So how did he get his "in" into the Club?????
ladysaint Posted 21 January, 2009 Author Share Posted 21 January, 2009 It must have been published in December 08 so not that long ago so have we established how long Kim van der Waals has been with us and how much he is costing us.

Badger Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Interesting add-on to this: My brother is a professional football scout in Holland, and I asked him about Van Der Waals. Here is his answer: "I happened to see this article a few weeks ago in Voetbal International. The common thread throughout the article was this vague figure of Kim Van Der Waals. Bottom line is that nobody in the football world here (Holland) knows of him, what he does, or has done, or even who he is. It seems that one day he walked into SFC out of nowhere and became extremely close to your chairman. I hear he is impossible to work with and even harder to get out, due to his protection from Lowe. His added value is ZERO. Rupert does like to surround himself with some mysterious people...the one common denominator though is that they all know f^ck all about football,or football in England anyway. Actually I thought the bloke looked like Rupert's minder. If KVDW can get on with Lowe I suspect a bit more digging and we will establish his father or grandfather collaborated with the Gestapo during the occupation of Holland. Fowllyd Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 I'm sure someone had him in a photo pre season (maybe Winchester or Fanborough) There was one - I remember seeing it, and Barcelona Saint confirming that it was the same bloke he'd spoken to months earlier about Poortvliet etc. Seems this bloke can't keep his mouth shut either then (van der Waals, that is, not Barcelona). But I have a sneaking suspicion the photo was posted pre-forum crash; if so it won't be available now. Can't recall just when the forum crashed though... offix Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 Think the author of the article is Michel van Egmond He recently wrote another article involving Sainst for Voetbal International. hypochondriac Posted 21 January, 2009 Share Posted 21 January, 2009 I'm so glad people have done some digging on this, so thanks everyone. Given some of the bits in bold, I'm not that surprised that the Club is in turmoil. We would appear to have a DOF on board, yet no one knows who he is:rolleyes: Obviously some of the bits are the writer's impression, but I'm sure he hasn't got an axe to grind. There's also some quotes in that need explaining from someone. Is he Lowe's secret lover?
