Kim van der Waals.....revealed sort of :)

It seems then that if we're on the lookout for a Rasputin to Lowe's Nikolai, we need look no further. Or a Cheney to Lowe's Dubya, come to that...

Is it just me, or does it all just get ever gloomier and grimmer?

Do we know who wrote this? Its pretty damning if true.

Waals = Lowe's rotweiler.

This is really quite scarey... would certainly explain why our team is so disjointed and misled and has such low morale.

This is very very worrying. Surely this has to be rubbish... even I dont believe we could be operating in such a way.

Voetbal International is the MOST RESPECTED football magazine and web site in Holland. The article i received does not specify the writer's name, but I think it is safe to assume that this article is pretty accurate (although it provides the personal view and opinions of the writer) if it was allwoed to be published in this magazine. It was issue 51 of 2008.

Kim doesnt sound a very nice guy wonder if he is behind Hockaday being on gardening leave.

I heard he was and I also heard he was despised at St Mary's and Staplewood.

You only have to read that quote:

He describes a scene where Van Der Waals walks on to the training field, takes a ball and starts to kick the ball around, showing of to others, saying "look how good I am". The writer continues: “He seems to irritate a lot of people on the field, but strangely enough nobody says anything, not even Wotte”

It doesn't sound like a happy, functioning football club to me.

So how did he get his "in" into the Club?????

It must have been published in December 08 so not that long ago so have we established how long Kim van der Waals has been with us and how much he is costing us.

If anyone has a picture I will direct that to my brother in Holland (see previous post). IF this guy has ever had any roll of importance in Dutch football we will find out exactly who/what he is.

To help validate the contents, it would be good to get it authenticated as a genuine article.

The only to date.

I'm sure someone had him in a photo pre season (maybe Winchester or Fanborough)

Bloody hell. I suppose when its the most respected in Holland we should give it some credibility... I just can't believe it... well I can ... but you know what I mean. How can Lowe allow this? WHY?

This is fast becoming the question of all questions for Lowe now for everything... WHY?

He's obviously been promoted if he's now driving the strategy with Rupert, helping taking training and talking tactics!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe this sort of stuff happens at other clubs does it?????

Simon Clifford me up????

It has been confirmed to me that the article is indeed from issue #51 2008 of Voetbal International

Interesting add-on to this:

My brother is a professional football scout in Holland, and I asked him about Van Der Waals. Here is his answer:

"I happened to see this article a few weeks ago in Voetbal International. The common thread throughout the article was this vague figure of Kim Van Der Waals. Bottom line is that nobody in the football world here (Holland) knows of him, what he does, or has done, or even who he is. It seems that one day he walked into SFC out of nowhere and became extremely close to your chairman. I hear he is impossible to work with and even harder to get out, due to his protection from Lowe. His added value is ZERO.

Rupert does like to surround himself with some mysterious people...the one common denominator though is that they all know f^ck all about football,or football in England anyway.

Actually I thought the bloke looked like Rupert's minder. If KVDW can get on with Lowe I suspect a bit more digging and we will establish his father or grandfather collaborated with the Gestapo during the occupation of Holland.

There was one - I remember seeing it, and Barcelona Saint confirming that it was the same bloke he'd spoken to months earlier about Poortvliet etc. Seems this bloke can't keep his mouth shut either then (van der Waals, that is, not Barcelona).

But I have a sneaking suspicion the photo was posted pre-forum crash; if so it won't be available now. Can't recall just when the forum crashed though...

I'm so glad people have done some digging on this, so thanks everyone.

Given some of the bits in bold, I'm not that surprised that the Club is in turmoil.

We would appear to have a DOF on board, yet no one knows who he is:rolleyes:

Obviously some of the bits are the writer's impression, but I'm sure he hasn't got an axe to grind.

There's also some quotes in that need explaining from someone.

Is he Lowe's secret lover?

How will we recognise him without that bar halfway across his face?

Did someone mention Bar?

This is possibly the greatest thread in the (short) history of TSW. As others have said, what amazing teamwork and detective skills. And how hurtful and damning that article must be to the rottweilers' employer.

Better book 4 seats on tomorrow's Flybe flight 1017 at 18:05

Although I expect they won't be needed until the middle of next week..

can't be seen to be jerking our knees chaps

Good plan. Will attempt to do so right now.

Look forward to his take on this...priceless. Although sadly there's a possibility that he'll be warned off by the club as I should have pm'd you! :(

So could it be a case of mistaken identity?

Shall have to wait for offix to confirm I guess.

Unless of course, he was Poortvliet's agent and has SOMEHOW ended up with a nice little job at Saints?

I emailed the writer. Turns out he also has a blog on the site for De Volkskrant, which is a national newspaper. I was able to send him an email there. Will let you know if he answers.

I wonder what the Echo have to say about this????

If a journalist from Holland knows what is going on and this bloke has been as high profile as I have been hearing (and as this guy is saying) at Staplewood, then WTF haven't they asked some questions or spilt some beans.

Maybe they've been asked to keep schtum on him.

Would be nice to hear what the Echo have to say now!!!!!!

According to my source he is NOT a "registered agent" in Holland.

Can't be his agent. Sounds from the account as if JP wouldnt want him near the training ground, afterall he would be employing him.

Must be another Simon Cliffordesque Lowe stooge. Hes unlikely to be a bodyguard.

the date of the osbourne fan forum was 6th november so he was definately here then and if you want a photo of him just dig out a copy of the echo for around that date and i think a few were in the sport section perhaps he was in one of them?
