bungle Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I'm up for it. Anyone else making the trip? Aye, will be there.
Papa Shango Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Yep me +1, so there should be a least four of us there.
Block 5 Posted 21 January, 2009 Author Posted 21 January, 2009 Yep me +1, so there should be a least four of us there. I'm going up with a mate so that makes 5!
knellster Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I know that I'm gonna regret it afterwards but I'll be there too. I just can't help myself.
Whitey Grandad Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Nah. I went there once and we didn't win.
The Majestic Channon Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Good news, they've appointed Bryan gunn til the end of the season.
SaintRobbie Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Good news, they've appointed Bryan gunn til the end of the season. The chap who won his last game against Barnsley with 4 goals down range? I am not that confident that they will relegate... although he is a bit 'nice' when they need a battler.
St.Thomas7 Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I'm still ummm-ing and ahhh-ing.... I think I want to go... its more of a financial issue than anything... and could I tollerate the journey home knowing we're effectivly down!! But then if we win... wooo! I can be upbeat til the next home game where we mess it all up again!!! :-)
N/West Saint Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 New manager and first home game = 3pts lol

Bourno Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I'll be there. I have a meeting in Colchester that day and it's just up the road (or so I thought!!). Then a drive home on my todd.
Benj540 Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I'll be there along with 2 others. How many tickets are sold now? When i bought mine only 150 had been sold.
John D Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 I'm going - got the in laws in Norwich so get a Saints game in and in the good books with the wife too
SaintJimbo Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Localish for me when i got my ticket today I was told selling well.....
Ash Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Me and my old man are going, he has seen two wins on the bounce now so we're practically home and dry.
Benj540 Posted 21 January, 2009 Posted 21 January, 2009 Would be good if we took 500 there. I thought we had only been allocated around 370? I am not looking forward to the drive up there, Soton to Norwich and back again. It'll take a fair few hours.

lordswoodsaints Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 promised the kids i would take them to one more away game, either norwich or forest.....as it looks likely we will be relegated by the time we play forest i might do norwich instead..........i dont think i could face an away game knowing we are already down. it means the kids will have to have a day off school, keep it quiet their teacher posts on here;-)
ozzmeister Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 Havnt we got quite a good record against Norwich?
TijuanaTim Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 I went to a couple of the last four games up there....Wow, it's a long way huh, even longer on the way home if things turn out bad on the pitch. That is why I still say GO!! But enjoy the day with friends - the trip - the scenery. Yes, the central event of the day is the game, but if you make everything revolve round it, it may not be as much fun. There again if you go for a day out, fun with like minded friends etc and Southampton win anyway it'll be awesome. You will have memories and an experience either way. God Bless you travelling Saints...at the moment, you're my heroes!!

Arizona Posted 22 January, 2009 Posted 22 January, 2009 6 hour round trip for me. In the good old days maybe.
Block 5 Posted 25 January, 2009 Author Posted 25 January, 2009 Bumping this thread up again. First chance to see the new Dutch set up. Apparently it will be an exciting experiment in Dutch style 'total football'.
Jesus Reigned Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 My 'home' ground, look out for the Dalek ! You'll be the one wearing the Hoddle mask?
Evil Monkey Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 Yep me +1, so there should be a least four of us there. I'm going up with a mate so that makes 5! No it doesnt.
Block 5 Posted 25 January, 2009 Author Posted 25 January, 2009 No it doesnt. Does it add up to 370 Evil Monkey?
Dalek2003 Posted 25 January, 2009 Posted 25 January, 2009 You'll be the one wearing the Hoddle mask? No, a Dalek will be present.
St.Thomas7 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Right, 11th hour decision... I'm going. Alone. But I'm going. God it's going to be a long day/evening/morning...!

St.Thomas7 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Good on ya St Thomas! Even better... I haven't actually slept yet... so won't be doing any of that til tomoro morning when we get back... I'll be the dead looking one in the UEFA cup kit on the coach! :-D COYR!!!
Lowestoft-Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Does anyone know how many tickets we have sold or what the allocation was ? Normally at Norwich I have brought my ticket on the day as any unsold saints allocation get returned when the Team coach arrives then get sold at the ticket office. A Norwich supporter that I work with says they have sold all the home tickets !
prideofthesouth Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Our ticket office has said it is sold out. Well done for only getting 367 tickets!
Lowestoft-Saint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Was it not only last season that they seriously fecked up the tickets for the game at Norwich as well... Didnt Luker say sorry it wouldnt happen again ?
bungle Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 To be fair, clearly had the 367 sold quickly we could have got more, but there was probably a late surge after Friday. Wouldn't have expected more than 200 myself.
stevegrant Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well I now won't be going for reason stated above!
bungle Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Well I now won't be going for reason stated above! Silly boy.
topher1664 Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 I'll be there - it's just an hour up the road for me!
cambsaint Posted 27 January, 2009 Posted 27 January, 2009 Unfortunately although its my nearest match I have a prior commitment tonight. It's Sod's Law, for the last four or five years either my son or I have been unavailable to make the East Anglia games for one reason or other. (Regrettably most of these misses were due to my dodgy ticker or other family ilness.)
