Let’s not let her off the hook.

Started the downfall, sold up to anyone interested, conned the fans, ruined her fathers legacy.

Sell the **** up as well please Kat and persuade your mate Nelly to **** off as well.

Lets also be fair to her... when she inherited the club Saints were in League One. She invested a lot more than her father did and helped get the club to the Premier League.

Clearly the selling of 80% of the club to Gao to take us to a new level was ********.

Imagine your father leaves you a business that you have little interest in, you keep it for a few years and then someone offers to give you about 50 times what it was worth at the time of purchase.

What are you realistically going to do? I'd sell to Hitler if he paid me as much as Gao would have paid Kat. People need to remember Kat has no emotional attachment to us and like any other business person was in it for the money. It's not great for us but you can't blame her for taking a massive amount of money.

Let’s do away with some myths. She lent the club money for which she was paid back as well as using club accounts to pay for her and her son’s lifestyle, and then sold the club to the first person who came along. She, as well as others, is very much responsible for where we are...which is a relegation favourite just a few years after being a team that could’ve been a permanent top half/pushing for Europe. She deserves nothing from fans. Her Dad, yes. Her, none.

I don’t think that’s true. I think she cares. I think she suddenly, unexpectedly became a public figure in sad circumstances and was a bit overwhelmed. Which is fair enough. Unfortunately she has been suckered with whatever crap the Gaos told her.

It’s sad.

I hope you proof to back this up or you're opening the board up to god knows what?

You don’t half chat some ****. I understand why Turkish used to like putting you in your place now.

That is just pathetic. Plus in any case it looks like she has lost a lot of weight recently.

Yeah tbf i thoughtt she was looking quite trim today. Quite fit really. I would.

Let’s get it right, she was a ****e owner before the Gao situation. Never had any ambition or willing to push us on. Wanted to get by on the bare minimum.

Believed in Les’ bull**** (he has a massive part to play as well), Got lucky with Koeman, not so much since then.

All in all, she was an awful owner

Posted

She's managed to do something very few people have ever done before: make a quarter of a billion pounds out of a football club. She even charged her own football club interest on loans to squeeze every last penny out of it. I wish I had her talent for making that much money for so little work.

Whether true or not, I cut her slack because she never wanted to be the owner. I’m sure she’s prefer for her dad to still be alive and for her to be living anonymously like she used to.

Contrast with Gao, who has gone out of his way to buy a club for selfish reasons without the first clue what he’s doing.

He should be the target, not her.

Let’s get some facts straight about loans too.

As I recall, she converted about 30m of debt to equity.

The loans she offered the club were to refinance the ones Cortese took out at eye watering interest rates. So she put her own money at risk to save the club money.

Accurate post. Her only failings were to employ rubbish to run something she knew little about.

She probably got a polite round of applause today

Whereas you just sat on your keyboard whingeing as usual trolling away not that you would know but there were a lot of GAO out chants what times the march your organising??

I think KL is above the petty comments being posted. I'm sure when she sold the share in the club it was in good faith and she wasn't to know Gao was a ****.

You mean apart from him failing the FPP test the first time?

Don’t buy it. Gao failed the FAPPT. But she still chased the deal, telling us all he will take us to the next level.

Even the average idiot on here could see that Gao was terrible prospective for us....

Why did she insist Gao took us over? Even though the PL tried to hard to block it.

It was because he was the one offering the most $$$, not his own money I'll add, loads of financed loans, but still the most $$ and it benefited her. Not us, her.

She's let us all down.

No she didn't. Her inheritance only came through when we were in the PL. That's when she had the power to kick the poison dwarf out

No she didn't. Her inheritance only came through when we were in the PL. That's when she had the power to kick Cortese out. Before then the Club was effectively in trust while complex Swiss probate process was worked through. She invested nothing while we were in League One or the Champ.

This exactly ( apart from the selling to Hitler bit) . She inherited a business she had particular interest in and eventually sold at a profit. Can't blame her I would do the same

This is all on her. No doubt about it.

Wanted to count the reddies.

Couldn’t give a **** who she sold up to.

“Next level” hey

Daft cow

Dont talk ******. She inherited a business, she sold a business. End of. Do you really think multi millionairs get all dewy eyed over their investments? Marcus included.

It was probably in good faith, she was totally inexperienced in business, let alone football business, she was advised by equally useless people such as Krueger and she made a diabolical bad decision. Its still her fault though, ignorance/inexperience is no excuse. Sadly it happens frequently when someone unexpectedly inherits a business.

Father's legacy??? It was to her, not some mugs like us who go to games. She made £200m - that was his legacy to her. If it was to us, he would have left the club in a trust.

She is a genius in that she made money and still gets the corporate hospitality. Why should she care given her bank balance?

Was the free scarf supposed to make up for the 9-0? I've got lots of scarves over the years, and most recently at the EFL Final. This one might be good to clear the windscreen.

She could have borrowed nothing and we'd still be doing a Pompey bouncing up and down the lower leagues.

Markus's will meant that there were certain conditions that had to be fulfilled by whoever inherited the club. It was very publicly stated that he had made provisions for the club in his will. Perhaps that was why there were so many years of disputed probate before she finally got her hands on it it. Meanwhile she had already sold off the MALI group he left her without conditions.

She also managed to sell it to a bloke who wasn’t allowed to buy a football club in England and convince him that the gravy train of tv money wojld never run out because you can’t be relegated from it. Maybe she is a far better business person than any of us give her credit for.

Markus kept his loss making printing business going as it was the start of the family empire , Kat called a halt as it was not sustainable . Markus would have probably put more into Saints as it was his project , he had been convinced it was the way to go . Gao has jumped on the bandwagon , Pooh Bear deceeded that football was the way to go to get kudos for their country Gao was a latecommer and fell foul of a policy change about exporting money from the country . They (like Man C's owner) couldn't care less about the football club but want kudos for their country to cover up their regime's excesses.

Posting insulting comments about Kat is unwarranted , embarrassing and pointless . It was interesting to see all the season ticket fans yesterday chatting to each other , disappointed at losing but discussing seeing each other at the next home match plus staying to the end .

The rememberance start to the match was excellent , well observed and a very good last post , it always brings back memories of when my brother was in the Falklands war , and the last post was being played on the news reports ( my brother came back OK) .

Here's hoping we don't end up a Sunderland basket case.

Naive to say the least- she would almost certainly have had an army of lawyers, accountants and corporate finance specialists advising her on the takeover, not just Krueger and a dim paper pusher from accounts (one of her first actions when she took over in 2014 was to hire Christian Purslow to sound out the market for offers). I also know for a fact she’s had access to top talent in the legal and finance world.

Never mind there were plenty of warning signs in real time - the PL, which is as spineless and laissez-faire as they come, raised the red flag over Goa’s fitness as a prospective owner. Liebherr not only ignored the PL’s initial decision but challenged and successfully overturned it.

Little was going to stop Liebherr exiting her investment - nice, reassuring sounds from Goa about taking the club forward may have been the cherry on top for Liebherr but they weren’t going to make or break the takeover once a concrete offer materialised.

The season ticket fans (speaking as one myself) are a bit stuck. We've already paid for what we've had and what's to come. If you've already paid for it, you may as well go. I suspect non season ticket match sales are through the floor though.
