simo Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 I hope we are on the look out for someone to replace Ralph, even before Friday things with him were looking off ! (Subs , tactics and team selections etc)
MAY-Z Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Stephens and McCarthy showing why they are both out of the team on a regular basis
Baird of the land Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Not even trying against man city reserves maybe not quite as embarrassing as 9-0 to Leicester but it is still pretty embarassing.
John Boy Saint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 I know this is the League cup, but Brentfords new ground is looking pretty smart.....................we look shot to fuc
SaltashSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Any logical reason why Ralph hasn't changed anything yet? (Formation, subs, etc) Because he's clueless?
doddisalegend Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Tonight is not so much about the players he has picked, but more about the formation and the total lack of giving it a go. For me, it should have been 4-3-2-1: McCarthy; Valery, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Vokins; Romeu, Højbjerg, Ward-Prowse; Boufal, Redmond; Adams. At least that way, we would have had a little bit of a go and had some attacking intent in the side. As it is, we are simply laying down and hoping City miss their chances. We certainly aren't going to score! I doubt we'd score with that front three they have one league goal between them this season.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
badgerx16 Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Which do you think is worse; our defensive coaching or our goalkeeping coaching ?
OttawaSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Binoculars needed for our players to see the goal they are "attacking".
beatlesaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Which do you think is worse; our defensive coaching or our goalkeeping coaching ? we have defensive coaching ???
jasonb Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Professional pride ffs. In any other walk of life you wouldn't be able to get away with phoning it in like this. Shambles.
Nordic Saint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Not even trying against man city reserves maybe not quite as embarrassing as 9-0 to Leicester but it is still pretty embarassing. I'm struggling to think of 2 consecutive Saints games when we made so little effort to try to win. The concern is that this is going to be the game plan against top teams for the remainder of the season: just trying to keep the score down. But, when we play our relegation rivals will it be possible for the team to switch back to game winning mode again?
doddisalegend Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Any logical reason why Ralph hasn't changed anything yet? (Formation, subs, etc)Because all our players are ****e it doesn't matter which 11 are on the pitch, in what formation they are in, they are always ****e if I was Ralph I'd be typing up my notice letter about now rather than wasting time on subs... captainchris Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 What is Ralph supposed to do? Who else can he play? We have no one. He can bloody well coach them! Obviously though he cannot do that and has proved this by ensuring every single player has become worse and worse. He simply has to be sacked !!!!
Chez Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 .....................we look shot to fuc yep. It's not really about a lack of effort, it is a lack of confidence. We don't know what we are doing. Players don't trust each other or know where each other will be. The constant changing of formations and players cant be helping. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
badgerx16 Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Not even trying against man city reserves...... A reserve line up that includes Aguero, Walker, Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva, Otamendi, Foden, and Mahrez.
Shroppie Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Boufal close.A shot? [emoji2][emoji2][emoji2] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Reminds me of that Blackadder scene. "our battles are directed sir?" "we have a game plan sir?" "of course we have, what do you think the coaching staff are for?" "oh so the plan is to just continue with a back 8 in the hopes of eeking out 28 0-0 draws?" "OMG even you know it! Batten down the doors with pieces of wood!"
DrunkenSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Tonight is not so much about the players he has picked, but more about the formation and the total lack of giving it a go. We certainly aren't going to score! Again the same 3 poor midfielders that havent done anything all season, 2 or 3 of them need replacing, Jwp defiantly shouldn't be starting. I do agree that we should go back to that formation though.
trousers Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Redmond and Adams coming onLong and Boufal off
SaltashSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 I doubt we'd score with that front three they have one league goal between them this season.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk You're probably right, but we certainly won't with what we had tonight.

This same group of players is capable of far better than this. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Saint Billy Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Not a good time to be a saints fan atm, totally depressing.
OttawaSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 WE HAD A SHOT! WHOOP! Yesss!!!! Feels so good!!!
Baird of the land Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Would like to see at least once tonight us try to mark their fullbacks
SaltashSaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Again the same 3 poor midfielders that havent done anything all season, 2 or 3 of them need replacing, Jwp defiantly shouldn't be starting. I do agree that we should go back to that formation though. You're totally right, but we have no other option what with Reed and Lemina out on loan. The squad we have is ****e!
Saint_clark Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Boufal nearly scored there, we can't have that! Oh good, Ralph took him off for Che Adams. That should make us look even less threatening. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Avenue_Saint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Take only creative spark off Hass losing the plot
Heisenberg Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 When losing 3-0 becomes a good result #sadtimes
beatlesaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Long and Boufal off Boufal taken off for having the audacity to have a shot ! The bastard

Nordic Saint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Boufal close. And Ralph then subs Boufal instead of JWP. Maybe he didn't realize JWP was still on the pitch.

trousers Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Stephens nearly scored! Not really... Half hearted effort that was going wide
doddisalegend Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Take only creative spark off Hass losing the plotErr we've had like one shot all game as creative sparks go Boufal wasn't very sparky. Just compare him to Marhez that's what a creative spark looks like.. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
doddisalegend Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Lol saints have scored [emoji38] Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
BotleySaint Posted 29 October, 2019 Posted 29 October, 2019 Jack Stephens. Better up front than at the back. Stephens and Ings front pairing next game?
