Huff and puffed a lot but our boring sideways passing style of play is **** easy to defend against. No one wants to take chances in the final 3rd when it comes to passing the ball, I lost count the amount of times Bertrand was ignored for an overlap by Redmond. Boufal done a few give and go's, only to be ignored. You have to take chances to be a good side, we take very little chance and often hand teams goals - two more today - which is exactly why we will be in another relegation battle this season.

We looked more creative and composed before that change IMO. And we wonder why RH doesn't seem to like Bertrand. That's why. Looked like he couldn't be arsed most of the time.

 

Boufal was our best player IMO.

Keeper is low on confidence. Should have saved the first with ease.

 

Our decision making up front is poor as well. Too many greedy players and quite a few poor passes in forward areas.

 

Bit baffled by Ralph today.

We're missing Djnepo. Would have made the difference today IMO, especially with them down to 10 men. Highlights our lack of squad depth though. A few odd decisions from Ralph too.

It’s going to be another long season... That was a pathetic performance against a team who had 10 men for 60 minutes. We basically played 90 minutes with nothing down the right hand side, Boufal anonymous and no right back, bizarre line up and subs.

So basically once Spurs were down to 10 the score was 1-1. Amazing we gave up a goal like that up a man. Unlucky not to score though, the goalie kept them in front (after giving us a goal of course).

Redmond was utterly infuriating today. Ings was making some great runs in behind and this guy just wanted to shilly shally with the ball all match long. This isn’t Portsmouth, you’ve got to be quick and decisive. We had them on the ****ing ropes, we’re looking to go ahead, Redmond hung on to the ball, attack broke down, they broke at pace (wow, novel idea) and scored.

Ralph happy that saints had possession even though barring 2 set pieces we were doing little other than going sideways.

Thought yoshida played well, as did Romeu, as did ings(on atrocious service). Boufal was the best of the rest.

Struggling to understand the team selection after Cedric got injured and why it took so long to change formation after they went down to ten men. Ralph’s lost some of his shine just lately, in my opinion.

What does Ralph see in Vestergaard? Should have been Valery for Cedric at the start and certainly at half-time. Then Ward-Prowse would have been released to play in midfield.Tactically, the same type of defensive mistake as in the Bournemouth game. At least he got it right for the Pompey game.

Yep he blew up for the injury to Winks but not for a foul but ignored the foul for the studs on Obafemi inside the D which happened before he stopped it for Winks.... ??????????????

Great opportunity missed as a good time to play spurs. Started 2nd half decent but pathetic last 20.

 

Should have started valery once Cedric went down.

 

A fair result. A Top half team would have beat spurs today and we are lower mid table at best.

 

points wise we have about what I expected but performances have been worse.
