Heisenberg Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 Tottenham Hotspur A Chelsea H Wolverhampton Wanderers A Leicester City H Manchester City A Everton H Arsenal A Ouch.
whelk Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 2 points max I doubt your pessimism would give us double figure points for the any season including under Poch and Koeman. But yeah you call it as you see it.
whelk Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 7 or more is a decent return from that. Yeah cos we only have to play the good teams and others only play bad teams.
benjii Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 Yeah cos we only have to play the good teams and others only play bad teams. What?
Tamesaint Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 2 points max Blimey. That is 2 more points than I thought that you would give us.

Dangermouth Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 Tottenham Hotspur A -- Can't see anything but a Spurs win there.. Chelsea H --- I'd like to think we could scrape a draw. Wolverhampton Wanderers A ----- Maybe a draw. We have a break before this. Leicester City H --- Probably a loss. Manchester City A ---- I see a creditable loss here. Everton H ---- Win. Arsenal A --- Loss. Ouch. 5 points. Will keep us about 15th/16th.
JRM Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 Definitely bottom half this season and won't be far off the bottom 3 unfortunately, home form particularly concerning.
DuncanRG Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 No reason we can't get a win or three but it won't be easy. City's the only write-off.
tajjuk Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 (edited) Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal are the three top 6 sides easily there for the taking this season. Everton are meh, some good players on paper but no real fight in them. Wolves are struggling as well. Leicester will play out from the back so if our pressing game is on point we could hurt them. Last year that would have been a very difficult run of games, this year not so much IMO. Also if we are out of the relegation zone after that run then not too bad as we would have played 13, and would have played all the top 9 from last year in those fixtures. ALWAYS_SFC Posted 21 September, 2019 Posted 21 September, 2019 Betting on us to lose them all, lessens the pain or something
TWar Posted 22 September, 2019 Posted 22 September, 2019 I think it will be important for all involved to be realistic. So far we have only played one non top 6 side at home and now we have this death run. The second half of the season will be much easier. I already feel like people are freaking out with talk of our "weak home form" after 2 of our 3 home games being against Liverpool and United. We have 7 points from 6 games, that has us on for about 45 points a season. That is the same point total Puel got to bring us 8th. Just remain calm, remember comfortable mid table finishes imply atleast a few losses against teams of Bournemouth size, and try not to panic. We should be fine. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk

TWar Posted 22 September, 2019 Posted 22 September, 2019 Don't we have to play all the same teams again in the second half of the season?Yes, but we will have teams like Brighton, Sheffield, Burnley at home. We will admittedly have big teams like Liverpool away but we won't be expected to beat them in either so it's kind of a moot point. Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
Danbert Posted 22 September, 2019 Posted 22 September, 2019 No reason we can't get a win or three but it won't be easy. City's the only write-off. Indeed. I'd expect us to be competitive in all those games, except against City. Why anyone would be worried about facing Wolves or Everton on current form, I don't know.
Saint_Tony Posted 22 September, 2019 Posted 22 September, 2019 Looks a tough run. The most winnable games are Wolves and Everton. We really need to take 7 points minimum but 3-4 looks more likely. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk
Shroppie Posted 22 September, 2019 Posted 22 September, 2019 Tottenham Hotspur A Chelsea H Wolverhampton WanderersA Leicester City H Manchester City A Everton H Arsenal A Ouch.Only ten points there. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Morse Posted 23 September, 2019 Posted 23 September, 2019 I make it 5 points thanks to a point each from Wolves and Leicester and 3 from Everton, unless Ralph continues to fart-arse about playing players out of position and then I expect zero points.
Saint Garrett Posted 23 September, 2019 Posted 23 September, 2019 TBF, could be worse. Wolves, Leicester, Everton and Arsenal are all possibly points IMO. Wolves have been awful this season so far, Leicester are very good but we're at home, Everton are poor, Arsenal are flakey at times. Predicting 6 points from those 7 games, which wouldn't be awful.
qwertyell Posted 2 October, 2019 Posted 2 October, 2019 I make it 5 points thanks to a point each from Wolves and Leicester and 3 from Everton, unless Ralph continues to fart-arse about playing players out of position and then I expect zero points. That'd be 12 points by the end of November. Hughes was sacked with 9 points by the end of November. Progress... ? Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
Lighthouse Posted 2 October, 2019 Posted 2 October, 2019 That'd be 12 points by the end of November. Hughes was sacked with 9 points by the end of November. Progress... ? Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk That's a 33% increase in points! Seriously though, I'd say that's more to do with the fixtures. Look at our home games; Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, Leicester, Bournemouth and Everton. None of them are easy. Hughes by comparison had failed to beat Brighton, Burnley, Leicester, Watford, Newcastle, Man Utd and Chelsea when he was sacked.
Maya's Dad Posted 2 October, 2019 Posted 2 October, 2019 only looks ominous on paper, we should be looking to take points from every game except city my prediction 7 points starting with a loss to chelsea
Heisenberg Posted 7 October, 2019 Author Posted 7 October, 2019 2 points max You might have been too optimistic
Dark Munster Posted 8 October, 2019 Posted 8 October, 2019 only looks ominous on paper, we should be looking to take points from every game except city my prediction 7 points starting with a loss to chelsea So far so good. Say aisatsu to your son.
richie Posted 9 October, 2019 Posted 9 October, 2019 some of the predictions on here are not going to age well.
qwertyell Posted 9 October, 2019 Posted 9 October, 2019 The way we're playing, we'll lose them all - but beat Everton at home, naturally. It's all going a bit Pellegrino. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
OttawaSaint Posted 9 October, 2019 Posted 9 October, 2019 We'll lose a few that we thought we might win and win a few that we had no hope for. Typical Saints, always hard to predict.
Shroppie Posted 10 October, 2019 Posted 10 October, 2019 A significant factor in the way things are going now is that none of our summer signings are contributing at present. Djenepo is injured, possibly long-term, Adams can't get off the mark and confidence is fading away, Danso hasn't been given a chance except in the wrong positions. I know Ings is technically a signing, but he isn't a change. Add to that the sale of Targett and many loans out and the squad currently being used is actually weaker than this time last year Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Rory Peepa Posted 27 October, 2019 Posted 27 October, 2019 Our season starts 40 November With 5 “maybe” games. Had been for awhile and if we don’t win a few of these we are gone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heisenberg Posted 24 November, 2019 Author Posted 24 November, 2019 2 points max Correct. You'll be set for a few apologies
bpsaint Posted 24 November, 2019 Posted 24 November, 2019 Correct. You'll be set for a few apologies Doubt it - any realists on here just get shouted down with vitriol.
Morse Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 Next 7 are properly make or break... Watford H Norwich H Newcastle A West Ham H Aston Villa A Chelsea A Crystal Palace H
Morse Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 To stand any chance of staying up we need 12 points from that lot. Not sure its going to happen.
Toussaint Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 Next 7 are properly make or break... Watford H Norwich H Newcastle A West Ham H Aston Villa A Chelsea A Crystal Palace H 5 points, beat Watford, draw Norwich and Villa. The others we either never get anything from or have too much power and pace for our powder puffs, ie WHU and Palace.
ericb Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 Next 7 are properly make or break... Watford H Norwich H Newcastle A West Ham H Aston Villa A Chelsea A Crystal Palace H We'll get something from Watford and Norwich, i'd go for 4 points from those two. We never beat Newcastle away so that'll be a loss, West Ham are in poor form but too physical for us, though i think we can nick a point, Villa and Chelsea will beat us away and i think we can beat Palace. So 8 points best case scenario for me.
Toussaint Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 To stand any chance of staying up we need 12 points from that lot. Not sure its going to happen. To start with we’d need to win the next two home games, not impossible but I don’t recall the last time we back to back home victories, I barely can recall the last single home victory.

The White Witch spell has run out - we need her (or someone better) to top it up again!
saint97 Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 7 points from these games imo. I actually think we'll beat Norwich as they'll come and attack us but Watford we'll struggle with. They still have some very decent players (Pereyra, Deulofeu, Doucoure) and Deeney vs Stephens is a bit worrying! Doucoure has apparently had a shocker this season so hopefully that continues. Watford D Norwich W Newcastle D West Ham L Villa D Chelsea L Palace D
Dark Munster Posted 25 November, 2019 Posted 25 November, 2019 Next 7 are properly make or break... Watford H Norwich H Newcastle A West Ham H Aston Villa A Chelsea A Crystal Palace H If we win the first 5 our tails will be up and out of the bottom 3, and then I'd fancy our chances of getting a point at Stamford bridge.
Toussaint Posted 26 November, 2019 Posted 26 November, 2019 If we win the first 5 our tails will be up and out of the bottom 3, and then I'd fancy our chances of getting a point at Stamford bridge. If we win the first five we can start thinking about champions league.
Morse Posted 26 November, 2019 Posted 26 November, 2019 If we win the first five we can start thinking about champions league. Have we won 5 in a row since being back in the Premiership? I dont think so but happy to be proved wrong.

Dusic Posted 27 November, 2019 Posted 27 November, 2019 To give ourselves a decent shot at staying up surely we need a minimum of 8 points from the next 5? Anything less and we will probably be cut away. Villa and Newcastle also have very tidy fixture runs by the way.
