hypochondriac Posted 13 September, 2019 Share Posted 13 September, 2019 I was collecting for charity outside the stadium a couple of years ago. He stopped, asked me what the charity was for and then put £50 in my bucket. He's a legend in my eyes for that alone.

Jimmy_D Posted 13 September, 2019 Share Posted 13 September, 2019 What he did to save the club and keep us going when we were at our lowest will always be remembered and appreciated. Fitzhugh Fella Posted 13 September, 2019 Share Posted 13 September, 2019 Once spent a very interesting day in his company when Saints played at Doncaster. There was no doubt he was a fan first and foremost but he also dug very deep when the club were in trouble and lost a lot of money too. Certainly deserves to be recognised as a true supporter of the club in hard times. He was without ego too - for him the survival and the welfare of the club was the most important aspect. VectisSaint Posted 13 September, 2019 Share Posted 13 September, 2019 Very sad news. Leon was a true supporter in every sense. Badger Posted 13 September, 2019 Share Posted 13 September, 2019 Sad news, especially at what is now considered a relatively young age. We owe him quite a debt of gratitude for his involvement with the club at a critical time. He probably hasn't had the credit he deserves but was a Saint when needed, and seemed to offer his role in a very dignified way with the minimum of fuss and without seeking self-publicity. Thoughts are with his family.
