Nordic Saint Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Revenge for 2010! Premier League Saints at League One Pompey. We've got them at the right time.
Sheaf Saint Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Now watch the police make it a ridiculous bubble. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Will still have to be a midweek game though.
RedArmy Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Now watch the police make it a ridiculous bubble. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Has there ever been a midweek bubble? Logistical nightmare.
nta786 Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Now watch the police make it a ridiculous bubble. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk Will certainly be harder to get tickets than for Spurs away My guess is season ticket holders plus 9/10 aways minimum surely
angelman Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 bound to be on TV Really? Bet Man Utd are....they've had every game of theirs on TV for years.
davefizzy14 Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Yeah cant wait for this one we are gonna do them!!
SFC Forever Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 how about a nice comfortable 4-1 win as we head back towards Wembley
Shroppie Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Wish it was at home. Security will be a nightmare and unless we play a strong team, it's a banana skin. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Ade Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Ralph must be told just how much this means!! He must NOT lose this game
GarrettIvo Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Well I think we all know how this will turn out
Sheaf Saint Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 bound to be on TV I doubt it TBH. Sky will most likely be more interested in the top six teams against lower league opposition, like MK Dons v Liverpool or Colchester v Spurs.
Katalinic Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Dont away teams you get a greater % of tickets for cup games?
hypochondriac Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 I doubt it TBH. Sky will most likely be more interested in the top six teams against lower league opposition, like MK Dons v Liverpool or Colchester v Spurs.Rubbish. It will be on TV for sure.
Batman Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 I doubt it TBH. Sky will most likely be more interested in the top six teams against lower league opposition, like MK Dons v Liverpool or Colchester v Spurs. I did notice the stupid bird presenter gave little giggles and gasps when city etc were drawn, yet out fixture completely passed her by
Lighthouse Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 I think when it comes to the most mental I’ve ever gone at a game, Lambert’s goal at Fratton is right up there with Gabbi at Wembley.
Batman Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 what are our fixtures the weekend before? for those interested, home to Bournemouth the weekend before.
trousers Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Assume the club will give ticket priority to those that went to Craven Cottage last night rather than season ticket holders who couldn't be arsed to go yesterday...?
whelk Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 for those interested, home to Bournemouth the weekend before. Friday - more recovery time
nta786 Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 for those interested, home to Bournemouth the weekend before. On a friday night too in fact- adequate time to prepare for this one
trousers Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 for those interested, home to Bournemouth the weekend before. So, two "derbies" in one week then...
SaintAndy14 Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 We've been waiting many years for a chance to get our own back on them - bring it on!!
whelk Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Assume the club will give ticket priority to those that went to Craven Cottage last night rather than season ticket holders who couldn't be arsed to go yesterday...? Priority should be lads who won’t run
Saint Charminster Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Bound to be a bubble to ****hole Park like last time
Batman Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 We've been waiting many years for a chance to get our own back on them - bring it on!! we have to win this one, ffs, surely?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
saint lard Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Terrible draw....we are dog****e....they will be up for it at their place. Can only see us losing. We have it all to lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pamplemousse Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Terrible draw....we are dog****e....they will be up for it at their place. Can only see us losing. We have it all to lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Cheer up
angelman Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Question ..... has anyone ever had/seen a Carabao? I believe it's a drink (energy???) of sorts.
macca155 Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Cheer upHe has a point, stakes are high for us negliable for them. Could be an uncomfortable night. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
John Boy Saint Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Dont away teams you get a greater % of tickets for cup games? its under the EFL jurisdiction for away fans, which is 2000 guaranteed tickets, if the capacity is below 20,000 then 10% - 19.669 gives us just under the 2000 I guess that will be influenced further by the capacity of the Milton End of the ground and what the OB tell them. If this was an FA Cup tie then the allocation would be 15% of the capacity.
Saint_lambden Posted 28 August, 2019 Author Posted 28 August, 2019 Question ..... has anyone ever had/seen a Carabao? I believe it's a drink (energy???) of sorts. Energy drink. They sponsored Reading for a while.
St Marco Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 I think that game will tell us a lot about the manager and players we have. Let's be honest here, it has been hard to like some of our players. Some of the performances have been woeful. They can restore some faith in them by turning up and putting in a shift, all of them. Likewise the manager HAS to pick our strongest team available. I don't give a **** who we are playing afterwards. If he puts out a weak team, we get beat, then get beat in the following PL game people could turn on him. If we go there with our best team we should turn them over.
Jimmy_D Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Terrible draw....we are dog****e....they will be up for it at their place. Can only see us losing. We have it all to lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If you can't look forward to a game at your biggest rivals when you're two leagues above them and haven't played them in years, are there any games you can look forward to?
doddisalegend Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 Will certainly be harder to get tickets than for Spurs away My guess is season ticket holders plus 9/10 aways minimum surelyWhich is why I wanted it at home [emoji21] the tickets for this will be harder to get hold of than unicorn **** Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
Lighthouse Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 He has a point, stakes are high for us negliable for them. Could be an uncomfortable night. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk No he doesn’t, it’s a ridiculous thing to say. There’s not one Pompey player or their manager who’d get into our match day 18. I’m not saying we’ll win for certain but thinking we are guaranteed to lose is just silly.
saint lard Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 If you can't look forward to a game at your biggest rivals when you're two leagues above them and haven't played them in years, are there any games you can look forward to? Not when you live in Gosport and everyone one you know is a die hard skate. I need this win badly after years of bloody 4-1 this and 4-1 that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
sfc4prem Posted 28 August, 2019 Posted 28 August, 2019 If we're afraid of playing them just in case we lose and get embarrassed then that says a lot about our confidence levels as fans, deary me! It's great to have proper derbies, who frankly gives a sh*,t about Brighton or Bournemouth. Let's f*&€ing have 'em.
