Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Maybe we'd get confirmation through if this was stickied?
wild-saint Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Apparently on one of the Augsburg sites Danso is valued at £7.8m I guess we will pay £15m> Seems to be one for the future rather than an instant first team player. If true that means 2 of our 3 summer signings have been bought in for their 'potential' Do you consider Jan Valary @ 19 a first team player or one for the future?
hypochondriac Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Do you consider Jan Valary @ 19 a first team player or one for the future?Exactly. We will bringing him in this late in the window because we will want him to be a starter.
VectisSaint Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Do you consider Jan Valary @ 19 a first team player or one for the future? Who is Jan Valary?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Is anyone else getting an Adrien Silva kind of sense about this deal?
VectisSaint Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 don’t be a cock I won't, best I leave that to you.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 So this isn't happening then is it. No one knows yet Calling Manji
GarrettIvo Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 No one knows yet Calling Manji Oh yes we do. We just don't want to admit the truth. The Southampton Way.
GarrettIvo Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 That's more like it. How could I have been so negative?
Heisenberg Posted 8 August, 2019 Author Posted 8 August, 2019 Wonder what the fee is? Feels like one that could easily be £2m or up to £22m No idea these days with transfer fees
Dusic Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Peach saying season long loan with exclusive option to buy, which sounds like a great deal for us. Not sure he comes into the starting XI straight away, but definitely seems to have different attributes to our other CBs and is high potential.
Saint Scott Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Wonder what the fee is? Feels like one that could easily be £2m or up to £22m No idea these days with transfer fees Transfermarket values him at 7.2m, so certainly not a bargain buy/loan as many expected
Micky Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Never heard of himSituation normal then. Mane, Wanyama, Tadic etc Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Heisenberg Posted 8 August, 2019 Author Posted 8 August, 2019 Transfermarket values him at 7.2m, so certainly not a bargain buy/loan as many expected 7.2m seems to be the Transfermarket equivalent of no idea We have FF and Jack Stephens valued at the 7.2m Austin is also 7.2m and we know he was sold for c£4m earlier today
HarvSFC Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Hopefully the new regime haven't made the same mistake as Reed did with Alderweireld... Or Ings. Old Les wasn't very good at the whole loan window with the likes of Taider, Caulker, Duricic coming in. At least Bertrand's been good.

Nolan Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 Keying up an Austian national centreback Klarer / Danso partnership for the 21/22 season.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 8 August, 2019 Posted 8 August, 2019 An interesting read here drawing comparisons between him and Marcel Desailly. Better get that exclusive option to sign him permanently ready immediately, if he turns out to be anywhere near that level! https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/Bundesliga/kevin-danso-augsburg-wonderkid-dele-alli-mk-dons-desailly-474586.jsp
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 So it all went t!ts up then? No, it's done. Waiting for German FA to confirm (they weren't working yesterday evening).

wild-saint Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 I won't, best I leave that to you. So unable to answer the question you pick up on a spelling mistake. What ****ing melt.
Shance Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 It’s potentially a good deal as long as we’ve written a fee into it already. Don’t want him having a great season and then having his price go up massively.
Suhari Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Please tell me he is really good I've heard he's really good. It said so on the internet. (Seriously though, reading about him - he could be a great signing).
suewhistle Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Well, the media guys obviously don't get up early like us retired types.;-) Nothing on the OS yet.. Besides his height I think his importance for us will be his pace, which we don't have much of in our defence.

Reinhard Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Hello from Austria (sorry for my weak English). I am really delighted because of this transfer! Danso is a top young player, stable, effective, physical, teamplayer. Has a great future. Will stabilize the defense of Southampton by sure. Is improving each season. Also good in initiating own attacks.
Pugwash Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Welcome Reinhard, your English is fine. Any more information you can offer would be appreciated.

Saint_clark Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Read a few things online saying he likes to run forward with the ball and join the attack...flashbacks of Van Dijk. Please be good.
Reinhard Posted 9 August, 2019 Posted 9 August, 2019 Thank you! Danso is part of the Austrian national Team sicne a year or so, he was also part of the Austrian U21 Europ. Championship team. Great performance against Germany (1:1). Fast. You can rely on him. He is young but also eyperienced in the Bundesliga. As Augsburg was not a top team in Bundesliga, Augsburg's defence was alwys under pressure, so he is familiar with high intensity.
