The f***ing inordinate amount of time it takes for some minion and/or shite computer software to display a page in a document on the screen in the Covid enquiry. Jesus Christ.

The "work from home" crowd seem to think Friday is the new Saturday and flock to Costco for the samples, shit food and fuel.

Journaling. Anyone do this? Fuck me, all these people saying how great it is to journal every day. Basically spending time each morning writing down how great your life is to make you feel better about yourself. Self indulgent clap trap.

You mean the diary of Anne Frank. That’s part of the points, it’s a diary. It’s been done for centuries. It’s not some amazing new thing that has suddenly been invented by life coaches to charge you a fortune to make your crap life wonderful

I rated my Evri driver (very good, because he is and has been doing it for years), but the website popped up a message informing me that my feedback was being submitted for consideration!

I assume the 'consideration' is that anything bad won't make the grade!  Pointless.

You need to watch Only Connect. Serious ‘quizzers’

I admit to watching this on occasion, each time in a state of complete and utter bafflement.

People who send personalised Christmas cards with pictures of themselves/family on.

Just had one which had 6 different photos. One of the couple that sent it, and 5 of their daughter (and son in law). I don't mind putting a Christmas card on my window sill/mantle piece but what the fuck makes people think I want to look at a picture of them for a month?

Also those who feel that they have to write a report about everything they’ve done and everywhere they’ve gone over the past year.

Who gives a toss?

A month is probably a slight exaggeration, but it's not that uncommon to get some cards early December. And I'd assumed it was fairly standard practice to leave them up til at least new year.

Don't feel bad about being a miserable bell-end. Perhaps I'm just overly jolly.

Some people have  weird priorities in what they consider to be "news". We get a letter each year from acquaintances which follows the same format. The 2 kids write their bit, he writes his bit and then the wife writes hers. A few years ago we learnt all about the dog's skin condition, the new tent that they had bought and the kid's swimming lessons before gettng to "Tina's bit " where she informed us that she had  been  diagnosed with breast cancer and was undergoing extensive chemo - a little more important than Goldie's flea problem!!

When friends of mine got married they sent the guests BIG framed portrait photos of themselves taken on the big day, presumably expecting people to actually display them in their houses. Fuck me. :mcinnes:

Americans using "a bunch" to represent a quantity of anything/everything; my wife is currently watching a baking program on which somebody has added '"a bunch" of sugar to their cake mix.

Wasn't sure if the confusing baking terms were continuing with "a knob of butter" or if it was an insult. 🙂

For the avoidance of doubt, It was another confusing baking term 😁

News items referring to actors by referencing one item in their list of appearances; Generally their career is reduced to "The. Harry Potter actor" or "The Game of Thrones star", particularly the latter when it is somebody who was seen in one episode.

When did it become okay to drive a shopping trolley around town?

As they chose to go shopping it can't have been a surprise to discover they had shit to carry home - take a bag you lazy fuckers, and stop dumping trolleys everywhere.

No wonder some of them don't drive well, they've done the housing estate Dakar.

As bad are the lazy fuckers who leave their trolley in a parking bay.

When politicians trot out the hackneyed line: "When I talk to people on the doorstep..."

Translation: "I'm just about to make something up whilst pretending it came from one of my constituents"

Twats.
