Eon - got to be the worst customer service i've ever come across. Moved into a new build 4 months ago, they are the supplier to the estate we have moved too been trying to get a bill out of them or make contact with the right department for months and keep being passed around to various people and departments none of which is the right one. Useless.

Absolutely loathe them, stuck in a similar situation.

About 12 years ago I had a wifi dongle from Three and moved into a house which actually had decent wifi, so I tried to cancel it. Holy f**k their customer service was something else. After hours of trying I eventually got through to an Indian call centre and spoke to a guy who spent another hour trying to sell me a new deal which included a discounted laptop I didn’t need. The guy just would not take no for an answer to the point I was almost shouting down the phone, "I HAVE BROADBAND NOW, I ALREADY HAVE A LAPTOP, I DO NOT NEED THESE THINGS AT ALL, I DON’T CARE HOW CHEAP THEY ARE!!" Honestly, it would have been comical if it wasn’t such a tedious waste of time. Dead parrot-esq, he just wouldn’t listen.

Think they were the provider when we moved into our new build nearly 20 years ago - we were still using 'plot' numbers when we moved in and were plot 45.  Not long after they changed to our actual house number but E-on didn't update their records.  No idea who the bill was going to but 3 years later when we moved away and rented the house out, we still hadn't had a bill.

People that don't possess enough brain cells to be quiet on a train's quiet carriage. Cretins.

P.s. and where do you have to be on the sub-intellectual scale to even contemplate bringing a screaming sprog onto said carriage?

You're assuming that they can read.

People referring to Bella-Kotchap as Ketchup. Fucking grow up.

Largely the same people that say Chelski, Spuds, Wet Spam, Arse-nil, or any other HILARIOUS version of a clubs name.

As an aside, now Chelsea aren't Russian owned surely that name is now obsolete?

I have the same issue with people who refer to the Toffees or the Red Devils and other naff nicknames

When a theatre that has previously hosted Jerry Sadowitz's shows books him for 2 new shows, posts 'potententially offensive content' warnings on the posters and flyers advertising said shows, then cancels the second show when a few people in the audience on the first night complain about the content.

Where did they think they were going ? What did they think they were going to see - Ant and Dec ?

Didn't he try and put his cock in a woman’s face or something? You can’t put disclaimer on that sort of shit but might be wrong.

I don't know the specifics, but it was apparently because of extreme "racism, sexism, homophobia, and mysogeny".  The sort of stuff his act has always contained.

The theatre came out with this perfect example of self- contradiction;

"The Pleasance is a venue that champions freedom of speech and we do not censor comedians' material. While we acknowledge that Jerry Sadowitz has often been controversial, the material presented at his first show is not acceptable and does not align with our values. This type of material has no place on the festival and the Pleasance will not be presenting his second and final show."

She told the paper: 'I was at the show. He called Rishi Sunak a 'p***'; said the economy was awful because it is run by 'blacks and women'.

'He got his penis out to a woman in the front row. The problem was not the audience - I knew he was an acquired taste. It was his indefensible content'.

Sadowitz is definitely an acquired taste, and his reputation is widely known, so perhaps this person should not have gone in the first place. Different people find differing things funny, and taking a couple of points out of the context of the show may well paint an inaccurate picture. Many comedians 'push the envelope', and knowing where the 'line that should not be crossed' can be found sometimes eludes them.

Personally I think Sadowitz and Frankie Boyle, for example, deliberately court controversy, and I find some of their work difficult and possibly unnecessary, but if I was to go to one of their shows I would know what to expect.

Honestly, when I read that article, I did laugh, but at the ridiculousness of it.

Funnily enough I was sat at the Comedy Cafe in Shoreditch once, years ago.  I spotted Sadowitz at the bar, not performing that night, just stood listening to the amateur acts, maybe trying to pick something up.  I don't remember any of that material though.

People who include their pets when writing birthday cards etc should be killed.

That and the putting the sender's names the wrong way around.

My cousin signs her Xmas cards off "from Chris and Kate" despite the fact she's writing the card and it's her I've known all my life, not him. Very weird.

For your car but nothing more to use your bike, do you have insurance should you damage a car?

Road Fund Duty is paid on the basis of emissions - unless the cyclist is a strict vegetarian on a high fibre diet we are zero emissions.

And you pay what to use the road?  I'm gonna bet it's no more than me....

Your road fund licence also covers the cost of maintaining pedestrian walkways.  And (not sure you'll be over the moon about this bit) also all the cycle lanes.  It's very generous of you, thank you for being so considerate.

Actually the RFD does not pay directly for anything, it goes into the Exchequer's pot along with all other general taxation. Some of it may then be allocated to national highways maintenance or construction of trunk routes, or given to Local Authorities for works on local roads, ( which may also take funds from Council Tax ).

Yep, had a whole family, including toddlers, walking on the left as I approached them from behind in the car earlier today. Imbeciles (the parents, not the kids. Well, as far as I could tell. They may well have been cretins too but let's give them the benefit of the doubt)

People who profess not to care about something by posting on social media about how little they care about it.

If you don't f***ing care then don't f***ing post about it, you clueless f***ing buffoon. FFS.

P.s. I don't actually care about people that do this if I'm totally honest.

You see them every home game, back and forth, up and down the steps, looking bewildered.

People who cannot grasp the simple fucking system of stadium seating, it's not a puzzle, it's normally just the alphabet meets numbers.

I'm in row G seat no.37....So why the fuck are you wandering around looking for your seat in row PP between seats 235-245?

So as a homeowner who pays council tax as well as the owner of two cars (get me!), both of which are taxed, does this mean that tdmickey3's claim that as a cyclist I pay 'eff all' to use the road is complete and utter horseshit?

Yes. And indeed, somebody who only ever walks is similarly paying for the upkeep of the highway, despite never using it.

However, if you are somebody who uses the bicycle as the primary mode of transport in preference to a car you are undermining the local economy; you do not use petrol stations, garage services, pay car park charges, nor will you ever use those hand car washing sites employing Eastern Europeans to give your vehicle a wash and wax for 'only' £10, ( or whatever the local going rate is ).

And will not contribute to increased CO2 levels.
