All the chavs and pikeys in my area who have bodged a mega-decibel £60 universal backbox onto their Corsa/Clio/Fiesta. Guess what twats, noise doesn't = power.

Have they fitted those exhaust boxes that sound like a Vulcan taking off ? We had a Micra driving up and down our road yesterday, it sounded like a broken tank, and you could hear it half a mile away.

Yep, idiots. (ergo probably Tory voters ;) )

It was actually a rant at my local Council's site where I wanted to renew the permit for collection of garden waste. Don't judge others by your standards.

On the same note, why are we still having to book an 'appointment' when we want to visit our local Council Tip? And why can't I book a visit for the same day?

Just to annoy you further, our recycling centres stopped 'appointments' early last year.

And to really infuriate you, our recycling centre has never had an appointment system.

That's not fair!!!

It must be something about Hampshire that causes general incompetence.

Can we add people who designed, developed and implemented local government websites to the list ;)

Turn up anytime you like 9am-6pm seven days a week in Mid Sussex. The staff help you unload too :)

I quite like the booking systems as it seems to keep numbers down, but the lack of same day booking gets me.  It’s pretty annoying.

Saying that, I have never had my vehicle reg checked whenever I have gone to the tip (at least not that I’ve seen them checking).  The appointments are available in 30 minute blocks, best to leave it until 15-20 minutes after the start and there’s usually loads of parking spots available.

Absolutely. It's the people managing the network infrastructure and IT security who are wonderful.

The developers reckon they could do a much better job if they had the hardware and network fit for the job ;)

I started as a developer, but I got better. I always used to tell ours that I could do their job, but they couldn't do mine.

Talking of gardens, I must be the only fucker in my street that dosen't have a dog (usually left to roam in their gardens). So when one starts to bark it sets off the others in a chain, a canine symphony lasting for what seems like several hours.

Cliches in Police dramas, like people who didn’t do it going to great lengths to look as shifty as possible for no apparent reason. Saying things like, "I didn’t kill him… but I wish I had!" Or looking guilty by awkwardly trying to hide some embarrassing but trivial secret the police don’t actually give a crap about.

Don’t forget the maverick alcoholic divorced detective who gets the job done but doesn’t play by the rules consequently upsetting the hierarchy above him.

Ties.

Seriously, what's the point of them? And how the fook did society end up in a position where they became essential attire in order to look smart?

I fully agree, ridiculous things. I first started hating them in sixth form, when they were compulsory for only the boys and we’d get told off for undoing our top button when it was 29 degrees with no air con.

Definitely on board with the dislike of ties.

Going to throw parents who hire out posh sports cars for their kids to turn up at their high school prom into the mix. What's that all about?

I'm going to say within the last 10 years but it's ramped up in the last 5.

My son has his soon, and while he's not fussed about it there are girls in his year whose parents are buying them £400 dresses and hiring sports cars or limos. It's very bizarre.

When your ex turns up after nearly 10 years, professes their undying love and…. Leaves again 2 months later. 🤣 🤨

This is the little things that annoy you thread?

That should go in a medium to large things that annoy you thread unless you're ex was quite small, in which case the little part of this refers to her height and not how annoying it actually was?

You’re probably right, but time has passed and it’s only a minor annoyance.

she was quite small tho, tbf.

In the UK maybe it is. Down by the Mediterranean it can be very pleasant.

I’m not sure what actual definition of insanity is but leaving your comfortable, nice house to pay to live in a wet field under a sheet for a week must be close to it
